Nita is a collection of photographic works by DeMarcus Allen taken in 2021. Each of the 8 series was shot in a different country, and exclusively with black models, with the goal of emphasizing the combination of beautiful locations with each of the book’s subjects. This work is a tribute to melanated beauty, and to the photographer’s mother, who worked with him on the planning of this book, before her passing in 2019.
