Description

Set in a lush, Faerie world, this stunning tale of royal intrigue, magic, and sisterly devotion is perfect for fans of The Cruel Prince.

Faerie wasn't supposed to be real. Tricked by a fae prince, Elora is stuck in the Faerie realm far from her young sisters who depend on her for survival. Under the terms of her bargain, she can't go home to the mortal world until Prince Brannick becomes the next High King.

Or until he's taken out of the running…

Sabotaging Brannick's chance at the crown will be much faster than helping him win. The fae prince may be charming, powerful, and wickedly handsome, but that won't stop Elora from selling his secrets to the highest bidder.

By day, she uses her master sword skills to train the prince. By night, she conspires with a rival king in a nearby court whose plans could destroy half of Faerie.

Soon, lives are at stake that she never expected. She'll have to choose who to save: her beloved sisters or half the inhabitants of Faerie.

The choice would be easy… if a certain prince weren't digging his way into her heart.

The Court of Bitter Thorn is a fantasy lovers dream come true. It has all the elements the reader could want. Fantasy creatures of every variety and a fae prince who is described and portrayed just as you would picture one. Our protagonist, Elora, is a very likeable and believable character. She is emotionally torn between all the problems facing her and her decisions show it. Brannick, the fae prince, is just as arrogant as a prince can be and he is determined to get what he wants. The one thing this novel has that a lot of other fantasy novels don’t have is a little bit of mystery. I liked this aspect as I also love a good mystery. This is not the main focus of the book so if you want a true mystery then you will be disappointed. However, the book is a wonderful read and entwines the mystery part into the storyline quite well. The author does a very good job of character and world building. Her description allow the reader to actually be able to visualize something she is explaining. I really enjoyed this book and I am looking forward to reading the others in this series. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.
