A little cheesy, fast paced, predictable, a quick read. Wasn’t bad, wasn’t remarkable either. Something to consume in one sitting.

I have a thing about rating books I DNF so I finished this just to leave this review. This was ridiculous. The dialogue was cringe and illogical for a man that’s supposedly born dirt poor and a woman who is supposed to be professional. Bare minimum this guy is supposed to be street smart so his behavior in this book was completely impulsive, irrational and overall ignorant. She’s a professional woman wanting more control of her career so the way she spoke to clients and in front of her superiors made absolutely no sense. I wish I could give negative stars for this man’s regular use of the words “cutie pie” 🤢🤮 just ew. Don’t recommend.

I haven’t enjoyed a novel like I enjoyed this in a long time. Loved the original storyline and loved the characters even more. Lena was a masterpiece.

I stopped reading. It’s hard to take this alpha male fighter seriously when he repeatedly calls the female main character “cutie pie”.

Well rounded characters and plot line, good scenes, dialogue and world-building

It’s corny but I already knew what I was getting into. The thoughts of each MC were kind of repetitive. There wasn’t really a wow moment but if you are looking for a short basic book with a somewhat strong woman MC then you should read this. Overall a mid book.

I am thoroughly in love with this book! I loved how Lena’s and Jase’s relationship plays out. I would’ve loved more details of the spicy scenes but everything was amazing
