Cian: A Dark Mafia Romance

I was shocked at the darkness of the story. The characters were fantastic and the story turned out to be good and sweet. I was glad the evil was abolished.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review Another absolutely awesome book by LK Shaw. This is book one to her new Dublin Kings series and it is was action packed, fast paced and on the edge of your seat intense. Cian is a Donnelly through and through. OTT possessive and protective of those he cares about and values. And he’ll have you falling hard for him instantly. Nessa is a sheltered but strong woman who’s tired of being a pawn. But when her father puts her virginity up for sale in a card game and Cian wins her she goes willingly to get away from her father. But she won’t make things easy for Cian. Their story is freaking awesome and an absolute must read. They get their HEA and dear ol’ dad gets what he’s got coming to him. I seriously can’t wait to read the next part to Liam’s story in the next book in series!! Highly recommend this book and this series.

This was a really good story.

An opening sequence of events set a dark and disturbing vibe for this story. The danger is present immediately and continues to build throughout the story along with a palpable intensity - a sense of anticipation of things to come leading in multiple directions. The story is well written with suspense, drama, danger, lust, romance, friendship, family, deceit, and mischief all rolled together to create a story which was unputdownable. Great story.

Mine Being controlled all of her life, Nessa has no clue how to act away from Da. The one thing that she has that is hers is her innocence. Da was definitely wrong when he thought he could make good on his debts with Nessa. Cian only saw this as a means to an end with Donal but he soon learns that he’s wrong. Can a broken heart be mended?

It was oddly paced and their romance seemed disjointed and rushed… it was still fun to keep reading about the family but I was disappointed. I hope Liam is better.

I love this book, and now I’m looking forward to the rest of the series. Shaw has written some amazing characters, great world building, and an exciting, fast-paced plot. I love that Nessa goes from being timid to fierce and learns to stand up for herself. It’s great to see Cian let Nessa see his vulnerable side. I’m really excited to see what’s going to happen between Liam and Imogen in the next book. Cian is book one in the Knights of Dublin series, and i highly recommend it. Oh my goodness. Holy smokes. You need to pick up this book right now!! It’s so good! Full of emotions, all the ups and downs, and there’s passion and love that tries so hard to weather all of the storms it faces. Nessa and Cian were just dynamite together. Even though Cian called her Mouse, I loved her inner strength, the ways she was willing to change, and the ways that she never gave up and looked for the best in almost everyone. Cian was determined to find the right power move to show the might of his family, but I adored how confused he got over his feelings and love that developed for Nessa. He was calculating at times, but protective and quite yummy. I loved them together. So much fire and passion and goodness. And all of the background drama, oh man! I had to stop this book halfway through because I knew the ending was going to be a wild, emotional, bloody mess and Ms. Shaw did not disappoint! So good! I am loving the direction of this new series so far and I can’t wait to see what’s going to come next!
