🎧Audio Review🎧 Narrated by Tim Piage and Stacy Gonzalez Amy really knows how to bring that heartwarming home town feel to her books including plenty of steam, personality and charm. I’m really loving this series and being a part of the Henry family of Dragonfly Lake. Unsung is book 2 of the Henry Brother series. Runaway bride, Everly, needs a place to hide and Seth’s rental is the perfect solution. Seth, thought he had his life all figured out but feelings for Everly have stirred up past regrets that he’s not sure how to handle. Their chemistry is immediate and strong. Watching this relationship develop was a pure joy. What I enjoy about Amy Knupp’s books are mature adults who communicate without unnecessary misunderstandings. I will say Everly fleeing her wedding without even talking to her fiancé was a bit immature but this book is also about her journey to evolve. And she certainly did. Tim Paige and Stacy Gonzalez are the narrators. Tim can do that sexy boy next door charm so well. He has a sexiness coupled with humor to his voice that’s really appealing. Stacy represented Everly well. She was very dynamic. I did have a few issues with her style, however. I understand that the character is going through a lot of feelings, yet Stacy tended to overact a bit in places. At times, there was a sing-songy quality which didn’t seem natural. She also used vocal upspeak a little too frequently. It bothered me more when it was used during the intimate scenes which kept pulling me out of the moment. Overall, I did enjoy the audio very much. The book itself gets a 4.5 The audio gets a 3.5/4 I am rounding to the 4 total as this is an audio review specifically.

Unsung is the second book in the Henry Brothers series and I liked it even more than the first. The characters were great, and the close-knit community of the small town was featured more-so than in the previous book in the series. In general like both celebrity in hiding and small town books, so I really liked the combination of them in Unsung. I listened to the audiobook narrated by Tim Paige and Stacey Gonzalez. I wouldn’t hesitate to listen to both of them again. I received a copy of the book at my request, and the opinions here are my own.

His voice has that mix of caring but passionate with hunger. His voice is just like it’s described in the book—comforting, soothing, and whiskey smooth. 😋 🤩 Stacy Gonzalez does a smashing sweetheart of country music. Her voice is naturally so sweet and sensual. 🤩 Runaway Bride, it never gets old to me. 🤩 But make her a celebrity. 🤩 Small-town—I’m so glad to be back in Dragonfly Lake with the Henry brothers and sister. 🤩 I love the actual lake and canoe fun. 🤩 Seth Henry: oh my, he is such a yummy cinnamon roll book boyfriend, so sweet and good. 🤩 Everly Ash: small town looks so good on her. It even seems to make her braver. 🤩 How they become the best versions of themselves because of each other. 🤩 Unexpected and irresistible physical attraction, sexual tension, and that first kiss. 🤩 The steam—they are so sweet and hot and intimate and fun! 🤩 I had one more, but it felt like a spoiler. What I’m Wishing/Dizzy About: 💫 The end is cute and the characterization is strong. But I like steam at the end. It helps me believe in the HEA and leave the book on an extra great note. 💫 The glimpse of Ava and Cash’s story to come is cute, but it could be a shorter part of the epilogue, just a little teaser. I am looking forward to more time at The Honeysuckle Inn.

Story: 4.5 ⭐️s Narration: 4 ⭐️s This was an enjoyable addition to the Henry Brothers. In this book, Knupp created two compelling characters who felt authentic. Seth and Everly were so well-drawn. And how they handle the conflicts in the lives that result from their past felt almost perfectly balanced - nothing over the top, or drama for drama’s sake. As they faced their issues, I just felt that everything was in proportion. That might seem on odd observation, but it’s totally meant as a compliment to the author; I was so there for the characters and their journey because at each step, their reactions and resolutions felt genuine and earned. Believable conflict and resolution are important to me as a reader and Knupp really delivers that with this installment. Another element I loved was the secondary characters; their interactions with the MCs was definitely a highlight for me. I just loved the way every one connected, supported, and played off one another. It really enriched the story and made me glad to spend my readings time in Dragon Fly Lake with such a great group. The minor downside for me was the presence of one of my least favorite tropes (older man age gap); I am just really over this and am much more interested in other tropes, or if it older woman/younger man instead. However, I think the fact that Knapp paired a least-liked trope with one of my favorites (celebrity romance) ultimately balanced things out. So, I was able to stay engaged as the story progressed anyway. The audiobook was really good. Tim Paige and Stacy Gonzalez did a fine job throughout. Each brought some nice layers to their performances. They were paired really well with one another and also with the nuance of Knapp’s characters. Overall, enjoyable and highly recommended. Such a beautifully Written book. The characters were so great I was cheering for them to fall for each other. I fell in love with these two characters so bad. !! It was a sweet Romance. I highly recommend for a wonderful small town romance and HEA! The narrators did an amazing job bringing the characters to life! I’ve really enjoyed this book!

This is book 2 in Amy Knupp’s Henry Brothers series. This can be enjoyed as a stand alone, but I think it’s a little more fun having “met” Seth and the rest of the Henrys in book 1, Unraveled. This was such a sweet story. Everly and Seth were so much alike yet in different places in their journeys. Only taking place over a few weeks Knupp crafted a beautiful and instant friendship that quickly became more. Yet I still felt like these two really got to know each other and that they belonged together. I was nervous that Knupp might show Everly’s mismatch with Trey by making him the bad guy. However, she gave them both the HEA they deserved and I loved that. There’s a little tension from the worry that Everly’s hiding spot would be discovered and whether or not she and Seth can have a real future. Overall it had a low angst feel. The Henry family learning of Everly staying at Seth’s rental and bringing her into their fold was endearing. And, of course, at times hilarious. I loved getting to catch up on Holden & Chloe as well as the tease for Cash’s book, Undone. A lovely read all around.

It is great to be back in Dragonfly Lake for another wonderful Henry Brother’s novel, a small town, runaway bride contemporary romance novel. I enjoyed Amy Knupp’s writing style and her unique spin on the runaway bride trope. The story grabbed my attention immediately and held it the entire time. Everly is a country music star who left her fiancé and singing partner at the alter the day of their wedding. Her friend helped her get away and booked her for a short term rental in Dragonfly Lake to hide from the press and public scrutiny until things calmed down. She gets into town and her new apartment without any one recognizing her. Seth Henry’s newly renovated rental has its first tenant, and he senses something is off with her, even more so when he sees what is in her bag. And while he did not who she was, he searched online and found out exactly who she was, despite her giving a bogus name. He lets her know he is aware of who she is and promises to keep that information to himself because he knows what it is like to get slammed by the press. Everly is taking the time for herself to reevaluation her life and she starts to enjoy her visits with Seth and looks forward to them. The chemistry between them is electric and they can only deny each other for so long before giving into it. He knows there is a time limit on it and they agree to keep it casual because when her month is up she will go back to her music and life in the public spotlight, and he will stay where he belongs in Dragonfly Lake. This charming and heartwarming story is wonderfully plotted with the perfect balance of drama, a touch of humor, heartfelt emotions and steamy romance. I am loving this series, the characters and the world it is set it. Amy Knupp, thank you for another fabulous story and emotional rollercoaster ride. 🎧📚🎧And for the fantastic narration, Stacy Gonzalez and Tim Paige did an amazing job bringing these characters to life, giving each their own voice, humanizing them with all their emotions and had you feeling every one of them. Their portrayal of the character was spot on and they were believable in every role they played. These entertaining storytellers are versatile voice artists and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.

Unsung is the second in author Amy Knupp’s Henry Brothers series. Perfect as a stand-alone but that trio of brothers is pretty darn fascinating and I would recommend you read – or better yet listen – to the entire series. Holden Henry is the youngest brother, the outgoing, chatty, lives-life-to-the-fullest brother. His oh-my-gosh-why-didn’t-I-realize-she-was-the-love-of-my-life story was delightfully told in the first book in the series, Unraveled, and the novella prequel Untold. Cash Henry is the oldest. The executive chef at the family restaurant, the ex-military man, the often rough, tough, gruff guy. Haven’t heard his story yet, but the hints are tantalizing. Seth Henry is the middle brother. The reliable, steady, brainiac overachiever (except for that gigantic secret and lie). Unsung is his story. Seth has just remodeled the apartment over his garage to be used as a rental. When a mysterious client wants to arrive late at night he says yes. Even though he doesn’t know the reason why, he is just the kind of guy who wants to help. And from that uneventful beginning springs an absolutely captivating story. Serious Seth always has his nose to the grindstone, business comes first, head in the books, mostly the family restaurant books, so he has no idea that the name his new tenant gives him is fake, and that she is actually a famous country singer and the runaway bride the internet is burning up about who just jilted her groom-to-be at the altar. She seems to need help, and even when Seth does find out who she really is he feels compelled to help her keep her secret and hide away. Not because of the electric sparks that are almost visible between them – more, much more on that to come – but because he knows from personal experience how tragic and heartbreaking it can be when your personal life becomes public fodder. If there were ever two people not looking to start a relationship, it is Everly and Seth. Deciding not to get married is the first time Everly has stood up for herself in, well, probably her entire life. So even though Seth is nice, seems to genuinely want to help her and is easy on the eyes – did I mention all the Henry brothers are smokin’ hot?? – this is not the time for her to jump into anything new. Seth has sworn off relationships because of something that happened years ago. And if he starts up anything with Everly and social media gets wind of it his secrets – and the big lie – will surely come out. Seth is a good guy, a great guy and so, so appealing to Everly. A feeling which is most definitely reciprocated. They fight it, but you can guess how successful they are. Their time together is like a precious little gift with an expiration date. When Everly leaves the apartment and goes back to her ‘real life’ they’ll have to end it. Too soon, too uncertain, too much risk to continue. But should something that precious really be ended? The Henry brothers, and sister Hayden and the extended family and friends, are close as can be. No matter how much they disagree on day-to-day events or tease, they have always got each other’s backs. And they are all in when it comes to Seth and Everly. Dragonfly Lake is a beautiful, cozy little community where everybody knows your name but where what happens in Dragonfly Lake stays in Dragonfly Lake. Run, don’t walk, to pop your earbuds in and take a listen to Unsung. Narrator Tim Paige is always a pleasure to listen to and Stacy Gonzalez is right there with him. The pacing, the tone, the anxiety, the desire, the determination, the humor, the heat, all there fully brought to life by these two very talented narrators. I received a complimentary copy of this book and I am voluntarily reviewing it. This was a fantastic story. I really hated to see the story end. It would have lasted longer but I was glued to my e-reader!!!! I adore the characters and loved to see some of the prior characters make appearances. It felt like get together with some old friends! The story is told in a dual POV format. That is a favorite of mine. I can better understand and connect to the characters when getting that glimpse of their thoughts. Even though this is the second of the series, you don't have to read the prior one to fully understand this story but I would highly recommend it as it is a great story as well. Seth Henry gets a call from a woman who wants to rent his apartment over his garage. He received a call late on a Saturday night at his brother's wedding (this is from the prior story but also mentioned here). He is surprise to find the young woman already sitting on his' steps when he gets home. He has some reservations as he doesn't know her name. She doesn't look at him directly. When asked for her name, she just answers with her first name. Red flags are flying but when her ball cap tumbles off her head, he is left speechless at her beauty. Everly is a runaway bride. She was having wedding jitters and her BFF (Drea) took her aside and they had a heart-to-heart talk. Everly decides that she loves Trey but she isn't in-love with him. Drea and her husband help Everly to runaway to Dragonfly Lake (I want to move there!!!!!) Everly was given the moniker Country Music Sweetheart. She gives a false name to the handsome man that she is renting an apartment from. Because she is so popular she panics when her cap falls from her head. Fortunately for her there is no glimmer of recognition in his eyes. Seth comes to Everly's aid over and over to help her get through the rough time. There is an attraction between the two of them but is it just a rebound? New friends with benefits? Can this last longer than the month of the rental agreement? Well you will have to read for yourself. This story is a sexy one so just a word of caution. Dang now I have to wait for the next book!!!
