By David Baldacci
In this #1 New York Times bestseller, a child is kidnapped at a presidential retreat and two former Secret Service agents must become private investigators in a desperate search that might destroy them both.
A daring kidnapping turns a children's birthday party at Camp David, the presidential retreat, into a national security nightmare.
Former Secret Service agents turned private investigators Sean King and Michelle Maxwell don't want to get involved. But years ago Sean saved the First Lady's husband, then a senator, from political disaster. Now the president's wife presses Sean and Michelle into a desperate search to rescue a kidnapped child. With Michelle still battling her own demons, the two are pushed to the limit, with forces aligned on all sides against them-and the line between friend and foe impossible to define...or defend.
First Family5By CajunNewsGirlLove Sean and Michelle!!! They are in more than this book.. This book was awesome!!! David Baldacchi is an incredible spy thriller writer.. The best I have ever read.. Lots of research done and not a lot of fill in with over-descriptions, like so many other writers.... You can't put it down!!! It grabs you right from the start...
Great4By MinmuronaGreat read, occasional typos. Worth the purchase.
First Family1By Ruth IsenogleI think this is one of your better books, mainly because the Florida Primary has been going on while I was reading it. It is really scary to me to think about Romney buying his nomination and maybe presidency. I am mighty uncomfortable even looking at his smugness after the ordeal he has put us all through. Your book is so mesmerizing, and fantastic. I am recommending to my reader friends. I have a stack of your books awaiting me. I have enjoyed all I have read and can hardly wait to open "The Whole Truth". God bless and thank you. Ruth Provine Isenogle
First Family5By jmills@millsretailreDefinitely a winner. A can't put down book. Keeps you wondering the next move. Dave Baldacci is terrific and I am looking forward to reading his next book and seeing if this was fluke or he is a great writer. I will probably go with "A Great Writer" Jon - Chestnut Ridge
Reasonable Baldacci2By CasdeWI have always liked the Baldacci books... This one, however, seemed to miss the mark. While it is an interesting story line, you can figure out large parts of the plot within the first 50-100 pages.
