I loved this book or I should say these books . There are four in all. And even though one is kind of long and drawn out you need to read all to get the whole story. It’s not a hot sexy story so if your looking for that , this isn’t it. I loved the generations of the family and the history of when women had no rights at all. Survival and Strong women.Yes we have come a long way bab!,

Shayne Parkinson is a gifted author. Her writing style is unique in that the reader can visualize and feel as though he/she is living in the book. I have read all of the books in this series and each one kept me entertained for hours. I highly recommend this book, but read it after reading the previous ones.

I have truly truly enjoyed this series of books. I know that it is time to put Amy and Sarah and the rest of the Leith-Stewart family to rest but this series is so well written that you can't help but feel like you are Amy's lifelong friend being given the incredible opportunity of intimately knowing her life. The story is not finished until all four books are read in full. I have seen many a review that the books are too long but the story doesn't lag and I don't know what could have been left out in favor of brevity. I for one am grateful that they were long as they have occupied my snatched moments of reading for the better part of a month and I couldn't think of a better way to spend my time. A rare jewel of a story.

This book isn't what I usually read. It was amazing! Some reviews said the length was too long. Psh! Never does this story drag the 2,000 pages per book made me fall in love with every character completely. Lizzie, davie, Amy. I even, towards the end, loved Charlie. This story has changed my view of books forever. I personally hate books I finish in hours rather than days. This book is pure genius!

WOW! I purchased the series for a good weekend read and ended up reading at every opportunity. Wonderful a saga full of great character development and growth. Numerous characters and I never felt overwhelmed. Distinct in personality, situations and growth I was eager to read on . History and an eye for interesting detail was introduced so smoothly by the author. This series is definitely going to be one of the most interesting and pleasurable reading materials I've ever enjoyed. ~Mikki G.

I enjoyed the book but i thought it was way longer than it needed to be (just like the other books). I really didn't think this book was ever going to end and then when it did it was kind of a let down.

I enjoyed the first three books and it was nice to see Amy get some happiness in her life, but I feel the ending could have been a little better.
