4By Mustang752Good book. Really dark, but try fantasy. Looking forward to sequels. The Weight of Blood
4By vgubalaThe note from author mentioned some reviews thought it too dark, understandable, given the atrocities committed by the main characters. I feel it gives depth to the story that sets it apart from others. To see them on a path that may lead to redemption even after those events is compelling. I've done many things others and myself have found disgraceful, yet found away to offer and make amends. It's a look into the making of the villain (or hero) I've not seen before.Well Written.
4By WarnabgulIt was better than I expected for a free book. I wouldn't recommend this story to someone who is sensitive or has an aversion to graphic stories.Lots of Potential
4By JRR enthusiastAs others have said, this book is quite dark. Almost inexcusably so. The first several chapters are by far it's weakest points, choosing gritty action over world building and hauling the reader along at breakneck speed when it really isn't appropriate. However... Dalglish redeems himself in the later chapters with a character torn between his moral compasses and his fleshly passions. Building up to a masterful ending, The Weight of Blood promises a thrilling series of adventures to come.Super good!
4By ObergonAny lover of fantasy will greatly enjoy this book! The worst part is it is over way too fast! The weight of blood
5By Alex.fitzsimmonsThis is the best book I've ever read in my life I really like the plot and the characters and how the world of the half orcs was introduced to the reader I would recommend this book to many people I love the story and all the action and fantasy my favorite character personally is hurraq because of his amazing talent and all the action that he is evolved in torn between good and bad velixer and aurila and his own brother I think it was an amazing book and I will read it many timesThe Wieght of Blood
5By VanarkelGreat read! Would recommend to friends. It would make a great movie if Holly Wood could stick to the script! If you love medieval fantasy you've got to read it!Good read.
5By MilociniaThe characters are a little cliche'd but much darker than most would be used to. Bad childhood made them strong. What is different is how the characters end up being more on the side of evil rather than good like most high fantasy. Nice to read a book about the evil side of a high fantasy setting. The half orcs story part 1
