Description

From the New York Times bestselling author of Falling and Sister Stardust comes a compelling novel about the love that keeps us together when everything is falling apart.

A successful photographer living in Bedford, New York, Callie Perry adores the settled existence she shares with her handsome husband and two adorable children. But while Callie’s life is practically perfect, her nearest and dearest are having a harder time.

Her best friend Lila is stuck dealing with her dream man’s demanding ex-wife. Her free-spirited sister Steffi is adjusting after leaving her city life for the simplicity of the country. And her divorced parents, Walter and Honor, can barely stand each other.

But when Callie is diagnosed with a recurrence of the cancer she thought she had beaten, everything changes. With their own problems suddenly in perspective, Callie’s family and friends rally to support her during an unforgettable, emotional—and ultimately life-changing year.

Such a wonderful book. I just came across books by Jane Green and they represent so many facets of everyone's everyday life. The stories are wound in such a way that it makes it very easy to relate to and to feel part of. Strongly recommend her books.

I would recommend this book, I didn't want it to end. I felt close to every character and I loved the recipes. This is the first time I've read anything by this author, usually I don't read this type of book, I'm more of a mystery fan, but I definitely will look for more of this author's books. Please read this book you will not be disappointed.

Overall it was a good book and the ending was great but the first 2/3 of the story line was pretty slow. Also, I don't know where they pulled the summary of the book (to read what it is about before you decide to buy) but a lot of it is inaccurate. Overall not my favorite Jane Green piece but definitely touching non-the-less.
