A world at stake. A quest for the ultimate prize. Are you ready?
In the year 2045, reality is an ugly place. The only time Wade Watts really feels alive is when he’s jacked into the OASIS, a vast virtual world where most of humanity spends their days.
When the eccentric creator of the OASIS dies, he leaves behind a series of fiendish puzzles, based on his obsession with the pop culture of decades past. Whoever is first to solve them will inherit his vast fortune—and control of the OASIS itself.
Then Wade cracks the first clue. Suddenly he’s beset by rivals who’ll kill to take this prize. The race is on—and the only way to survive is to win.

Reviews
Great book
5By JpempyreI really enjoyed this book. The writing style and amount of references used might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but I thought the tea was delicious. Sad, wholesome, exhilarating, this book covered all the bases.Good read for nerds
5By Bonebaby91Good very detailed and for someone not as well aquatinted w the verse, I was able to read/skim he bits I didn’t understand while still getting the full gist of the story.Great book
5By double69420I love the story line to this book it is very interestingLove RP1
5By MusicDude70Is it a Mary Jane? Kinda. Even so: If you’re GenX or a young 80s kid, this story is a must read…then let it go. Wish I could say RP2 is a great follow-up, but it misses the mark.🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊🙊
5By Oli_1225Best book I have ever read I am 6,999,999 years old and I have read every book ever written this is better than the Bible. Not worth your money and time!
2By ZaebalisnikamiFirst few chapters really sucked me in, but there’s no character development, way too many references and the story gets repetitive after they clear the first gate as the challenges for the 2nd and 3rd are pretty much the same. It’s such a boring and lazing writing and It got so cringy at the end, that I had to force myself to finish reading last few chapters. If I could travel back in time, I’d skip this book.Best Book
5By elden I JohnsonBest Freaking Book on the Planet stayed up every night reading it because it was just too flipping Good!!!!!!!! A must readGenuinely one of the best books I’ve read.
5By Mason ShellhammerThis is my favorite book. It didn’t even feel like I was reading half the time (frankly because I used the audiobook for at least a quarter of it); but regardless of how I enjoyed this book, it left me wanting to actually read more books like it. This book is the prime gateway for young Generation Z boys to get into reading lengthy novels such as this book. This book is just amazing!
