Description

The Cure comes to us the refreshingly re-imagined second edition to the bestselling book TrueFaced. With brand new storytelling and grittier expression, The Cure is the Original Good News. But God's cures rarely come in the form we expect. What if, indeed, God is not who we think he is... and neither are we?

Profound and a great and philosophic blow to the stomach when reading. Amazed by the words and ways so profound concepts are portrayed in this books. Will read again. Read slowly and cautiously in order to fully understand the book.

I have encountered so many who are chasing many cures for their acquired or self induced sickness. The best start would be to simply go to Hope Himself. "The Cure" honestly squares up the picture of life we all face and gives healthy options to anyone wishing to make a difference in their life or a life of another. I highly recommend this book to anyone struggling with the issues of life. Thank you for what it has done for me.

While I loved TrueFaced, my first intro to thoughts about how God sees me, this second book by the same authors is even more compelling. Many of us struggle with the feelings that God is at least a little disappointed in us because we fail so often. Because we love him, we redouble our efforts to behave better--and we fail again. The cycle repeats and we live in a constant state of self consciousness, monitoring how we did each day, wondering whether Jesus is disappointed in us or not. The Cure brilliantly tells a different story, biblically accurate and theologically clear, illustrating how we can be free of the cycle of effort & failure. I purchased both the hard copy and the e-book and read passages repeatedly as these truths settle more deeply in my soul. This is on my top 10 list of books that I recommend to others!

Didn't even realize how distorted my view of God's grace was because of what I've been taught. This book changed my life.
