1By NolaWin65This is my first time reading this author and I really disliked this book. Lucy was such a hypocritical witch and he was stupid for even wanting her. She did a lot of lecturing about him being a coward, running away, and not consulting her. She was the one who ran out on her wedding and stayed away from her family. Though it took me awhile, I finally made it to the end and wished I had never made myself finish this book. A complete waste!Not the Best Susan Elizabeth Phillips Book

1By Jocelyn kikI usually love Susan Elizabeth Phillips books. I even brought her other books and for the first time I'm glad i didn't buy this book. It was okay but not her best. I couldn't fall in love with characters like I usually do.Disappointing

It's a pleasant romance with a few interesting characters, but the main two,,,,Lucy and Patrick are weak...at least by this author's usual high standards. I suggest to any new reader to read the other books in this series first, starting with First Lady - my personal all time favorite!!!!
