  • If by sweet talk you mean she can’t talk

I love the authors writing style, it’s smart, sexy, funny, and realistic. Right down to the man who ignores the heroine, naysays her every decision, and tells her what to do, when to do it, and for some reason she just does. watching her get cowed into submission constantly even though she’s a fully grown woman with a lot of accolades to boast of is frustrating.
  • I enjoyed this book , it was exciting, and had lots of humor.

Engaging characters. I laughed out loud and chuckled at the personality traits; conversations were vivid emotional depth was clearly attained. Loved it!

Less drama, humorous, well-written! This is my first of Julie Garwood's. It took me 24hrs to finished reading, I had to know! Now I'm perusing/selecting of what will be my next from your shelf.

If it was possible to give this a no star .. I would... Big Julie Garwood fan, normally read all her books , however this was a waste of words... No story and it went on forever...
  • Awesome Story!

The story was predictable. The dialogue was flat and the characters were 2 dimensional. Garwood is one of my top 5 favorites so its very disappointing to read this book.
  • Julie Garwood, if you read this, I'm so sorry.

I feel awful giving a poor review on one of my all time favorite authors. I have books of Julie Garwood's that are worn out from re-reading, but I have to agree with some of the other bad reviews - this does not seem like its the same author! The writing is choppy, the dialogue is awkward, and you can't feel any emotion because of it. It's like an un-edited rough draft written just to get the concepts down. While I'm only a third of the way into the book I'm wishing it was over already. It's not so much the story line as it is the writing style. I put her book release dates in my calendar, I love her so much. I'm not sure what happened here, but as a die hard Julie Garwood fan, I can't say as though I even recognize this as a JG book, much less enjoy it. I agree with another reviewer - get it from the library before you buy.

I have to say, I feel like this book was written by someone else. Not her style at all. I usually love her books, but this one just fell flat and the dialogue is horrible.

I have read a great many of Julie Garwood's books, and this is the first one I have fallen asleep over. Usually sleep takes a back seat to finishing the book, wished it could have been better. She still is one of my favorite authors.

It seems that the last 2 or 3 books by Ms. Garwood are different than her first contemporary romance novels. This book seems more like a pre-quel than a stand alone story. It was entertaining and I look forward to reading more about some of the characters that were introduced. I just didn't fall in love with THESE characters and their story as I have with other characters and stories in the past.
  • Not your typical Julie Garwood

I usually love Julie Garwood's stories - I think I've read them all. This did not seem like it was written by her. The characters weren't very interesting the plot was horrid, the conversations between characters (which is usually a highlight of Garwood's) were not up to par, and there were several conversations thrown in that seemed to be intended to help us learn about the other characters but did not go with the rest of the story at all. Perhaps Garwood is preparing us for books about the other "Pips", but I'm not interested if the writing is as bad as this one. I wish I could have written a better review, but there was nothing good about this. Save your money. If you feel the need to check it out, get it for the library where you'll only regret the lost time and not the wasted money.

Wow, what a great and romantic novel!! I loved it! The 2 main characters, Grayson and Olivia, are beautiful and I love how the author weaves their life together to create a fairy tale ending. Great read and I highly recommend for all those hopeless romantic out there so enjoy! :-)
  • LOVED it.
