Description

Kat O’Connor is no pushover. She’s a no nonsense girl with a commonsense approach to life. But there’s nothing common about what’s happening to her lately…

First she was forced to have a kinky mind ménage with two of the hottest and most irritating men in the galaxy—Twin Kindred warriors, Deep and Lock—in order to locate her kidnapped friend. Then she couldn’t get their feelings out of her head. And now she’s on her way to their home planet, Twin Moons, to find a cure for the debilitating illness their unorthodox joining caused, when all she really wants to do is go home.

Locks Tight, the light twin of the two, is already in love with Kat. Her curvy plus-sized body is the epitome of beauty on his home planet and her sharp mind makes her doubly attractive. But though he fell for her the moment he saw her, Twin Kindred are unable to mate a woman alone. Lock knows nothing can happen between them without his brother…

Stabs Deep. The dark twin has a secret agony in his past—a tragedy he feels he and he alone is to blame for. He too, hungers for Kat, but he hides his fear of rejection behind an impenetrable wall of angry sarcasm. For if he lets anyone get too close, the unbearable pain he has already endured once may happen again.

Now Kat and her twin warriors are on a quest—but they’re all looking for different things. Kat wants to find a way to dissolve the half-formed bond between them so she can be alone in her own head again. Lock wants to convince both her and his brother to complete the bond which will keep them together forever. And Deep is trying to protect his heart and love Kat from afar…though it grows more and more difficult to deny the hunger he feels for her growing inside him.

Their travels will take them from the uncharted wilds of Twin Moons to the Deadworld of the Scourge home planet. Will Kat find a cure for having other people’s emotions crowding her mind? Will Lock convince his brother and the woman they both love that they’re all meant to be together forever? And will Deep ever unshield his heart long enough to let Kat in?

You’ll have to read Sought, the third book in the Brides of the Kindred series, to find out…

I like the premise of the series as a whole, however, there are things that could be changed. All of the books in the series drag on and on and on. There are lots of unnecessary and repetitive scenes. The books get to the point where you just want it to end already and get to the happily ever after. Kat has to be my least favorite character in this whole series. She acts like an immature bratty spoiled rotten nasty stubborn teenager, who takes no responsibility for her words or actions. Kat loves playing the victim role. She blames EVERYTHING on Deep. Deep is dealing with some recent deep emotional scars. Kat doesn’t bother to try to dig deeper with Deep to see if there is a reason for his behavior. If the author was trying to make Kat come across as a strong woman, it was an EPIC fail! All of that being said, I do love how the author keeps the previous characters in the storyline so that you can see their “life” plays out. That is one of my favorite things about the books.
  • Not the best, but not the worst

This story, while somewhat interesting, isn’t my fav in the series. Kat takes no effort to learn about the twins or their culture, and complains about everything the do, did, or might have done. The kicker for me was her deflection of blame, casting her too close to the victim role. Which is a shame because I liked Deep and Lock and I wish I could have seen more of their sweet and complex personalities. But dang it if Kat didn’t kill every mood. One of the best scenes is when Kat and Lock have a short heart to heart and Kat actually LEARNS something about the twins and we get a glimpse at Deeps inner turmoil. Unfortunately Deep’s constant arguing with Kat and Lock playing peacemaker for the majority of the 500+ pages were so repetitive and I found myself skimming scenes. It’s not bad but it feels like a rehash of the first two books combined with none of the novel charm. I probably would have skipped it if it weren’t for the Lauren and Xarin side story.

This book just like the last few I’ve read of the Kindred series is complicated. Overall I can say it’s a good complicated but there we’re definitely times where I was frustrated with the authors decisions to make characters act or feel certain ways or have an ignorant opinion on the topics addressed in the book. Such as the love life between twin kindred and the reluctance on Kat’s part. The comments made by Olivia regarding the matter furthering Kat’s disapproval genuinely made me want to throw my phone. I feel the story line dragged on in some parts and there were “scenes” that just felt forced and unnecessary to the overall plot of the story. But overall it isn’t a bad book. I have noticed several typos in the books I’ve read which can be a little irritating having to figure out what something is saying when they have a few words missing or something, I had to reread a few times because I thought I was tripping. One thing I don’t always like about books like these is the hidden agenda towards the size of a woman. There are so many romance novels of a “plus size” woman who essentially feels unhappy with her body and is shamed here on earth but she meets this strong, handsome, warrior type to teach her that her body is perfect. At times it’s almost as if the author is shaming smaller bodied women while trying to praise a bigger bodied woman. Typically it is an author who themselves is not the size of a stick, it can get extremely tiring to have topics revisited over and over where the main character puts herself down because of her size and I would say the same if we lived in a reverse situation where stick figured women were seen as less desirable than a fuller figured woman. There is absolutely nothing wrong with someone having preferences. But someone else’s preference has no bearing on your actual self worth or what you do or don’t deserve. I think of a book was to include the importance of a woman’s size she should also do so with that in mind. And I don’t necessarily like the angle of putting down a human male in comparison to an Alien male and making all human males seem less than but somehow human women are all the rage. 🤷🏽‍♀️ It would be nice if these books didn’t feel like a woman’s fantasy played out. I’m here for a story with an original plot headed to a great climax and ending not the same “he won’t love me because I’m not a size 5, because tommy from SC couldn’t appreciate my body.” But then judging someone because of something they also can’t change. Other than those details the actual plot is really entertaining and I’m excited to continue reading.

I loved this book! Just as much as the last two! I can’t wait find out what happens in the next one. I was hooked on this series from book one! If you like a good sci-fy romance with a strong male that like to cherish and protect his bride, this is right up your ally.

This is the third book the this amazing series. And it's been just as good as the other two. I love how we get to go back sometimes to the other characters and see how they're doing. This story follows Kat, who I love and is a strong character, and the two Twin Kindred, Deep and Lock. I won't go into too much of this story, you'll just have to find out for yourself. But this have you everything you could ask for in a book. Times where you'd laugh, times where you'd cry, and times where you'd just want to strangle the characters. But in a good book way. Kat is by far one of my favorites in this series. And now I will be buying the next book and continuing on with the story.

This is Kat O’Connor’s story and what a story it was. I was not entirely sure that I would enjoy this tale as much as the first two because I’ve never been big on stories about poly-amorous relationships (they just aren’t an interest of mine,) but this story changed my mind. Kat O’Connor is a heroine that I identify with most of all because she has unease in regards to her body, without being whiny and overbearing about it. She is a reasonable young woman with a good head on her shoulders that doesn’t just want to jump in a relationship with Deep and Lock, Twin Kindred, without being certain that it is what all three of them want. I do not understand how any of my fellow reviewers can find fault with Kat wanting to feel secure in her romantic endeavors, especially when one considers her home life. As far as the dual romantic interests, Stabs Deep & Locks Tight, there have never been a more different pair of Twin Kindred ever and yet they complement each other so well. Where Lock is sweet and tender with Kat, nearly always worrying over her and her feelings as well as comforting her when necessary. On the other hand, Deep is a contrary individual with all-consuming desire for his “little Kat.” When Deep and Kat bicker, Lock acts as their mediator. But as the trio grows closer, Deep begins to fear that it’ll all end badly due to his past and his fear causes many issues that resulted, for me, in a series of moments that made me cry. The complex relationship between Stabs Deep, Locks Tight, and Kat was entirely all-consuming. The push and pull of their three-person relationship was so addictive that I read the entire novel in three days and when I reached the end, I mourned that fact. I want so much to read about this polyamorous relationship well past the completion of the novel because there is so much more that could be dealt with in the future. I will be re-reading the book many, many times in the future.
