Description
#1 New York Times Best Seller! Following his ground-breaking, critically acclaimed run on Detective Comics, writer Scott Snyder (American Vampire) alongside artist Greg Capullo (Spawn) begins a new era of The Dark Knight with the relaunch of Batman, as a part of DC Comics—The New 52! After a series of brutal murders rocks Gotham City, Batman begins to realize that perhaps these crimes go far deeper than appearances suggest. As the Caped Crusader begins to unravel this deadly mystery, he discovers a conspiracy going back to his youth and beyond to the origins of the city he's sworn to protect. Could the Court of Owls, once thought to be nothing more than an urban legend, be behind the crime and corruption? Or is Bruce Wayne losing his grip on sanity and falling prey to the pressures of his war on crime?

5By NordoftheRingsMy first comic book in decades. Enjoyed it. Might get the rest of the volumes. One complaint, that has nothing to do with story or art direction. out of 180 pages I paid for, there’s a large number of filler stuff. Repeats of the previous page in black and white? How about we lower the price and get rid of the excess? That would be nice.Loved it
5By James_vibezLoved all of it!Flawless Batman Style
5By Tyr3nTThe art is beautiful, almost every panel could be on the cover. The story is pure-Batman while at the same time giving the reader a new angle to view Gotham city and the Wayne family’s intertwined history. If you are looking for something that can make you feel the way you did the first time you experienced the “Arkham” video games or the first time you saw the movie (Dark Knight) then this is it.The bat
5By da liftaLoved itSnyder & Capullo Breath New Life Into the Batman Mythos!
5By CodeRedGamer_You’ll find yourself intrigued by the fact that this is, for the first time, a foe that not even Batman understands. The Court of Owls is indeed not just a myth, but a reality. An interesting look into the crumbled psyche of a broken Batman. Absolutely amazing story. This iBook is a solid copy, works great on my iPad Mini (2019)!Thrilling start, worth every penny
5By Helbert PinaGreat start for the series, this made me feel like I could go back to reading regular comics again instead of just graphic novels and special mini series. Strongly recommended!Excellent!

5By Batman575It takes Batman to a whole new level, intense at every page, and great surprises. Please make more like this!Awesome. Just awesome.
5By T-1000I was hesitant to pick this up because of the mixed emotions I had heard about the New 52. But I am so glad that I did. This could be one of the fifteen best Batman comics ever written. Makes me look forward to what Scott Snyder has planned next for the Caped Crusader. Grade: A+Loved the Story...
4By Carrig...but I wish the viewing layout was better and had better customization like I am used to with other iBooks. It would be nice to have the ability to view one page at a time full screen in portrait more easily, as well as toggle the border on/off. I'm glad more Batman graphic novels have hit the iBookstore, but am most looking forward to seeing #0 of this series as well as Volume 2.Great new story
5By raincntryIt's story arcs like this that make Batman the best superhero comic to read. This is a fresh take on a classic hero, throwing in enough details to make the Court of the Owls fit nicely into Gotham's history. I suggest this to any Batman fan, new or old.Well
