Description

“Raw, powerful and disturbing—a head-spinning take on Mr. Tyson's life.”—Wall Street Journal

Philosopher, Broadway headliner, fighter, felon—Mike Tyson has defied stereotypes, expectations, and a lot of conventional wisdom during his three decades in the public eye. Bullied as a boy in the toughest, poorest neighborhood in Brooklyn, Tyson grew up to become one of the most ferocious boxers of all time—and the youngest heavyweight champion ever. But his brilliance in the ring was often compromised by reckless behavior. Yet—even after hitting rock bottom—the man who once admitted being addicted “to everything” fought his way back, achieving triumphant success as an actor and newfound happiness and stability as a father and husband. Brutal, honest, raw, and often hilarious, Undisputed Truth is the singular journey of an inspiring American original.

This is a book of truth. It doesn’t sugar coat the brutal parts of his life and also lets you see the sensitivity and vulnerability of a very complicated man. I loved this book Thanks

This book is very interesting and funny at the same time. Mike is an innocent person looking for guidance and people used it for weakness. I'm happy that he's doing well mentally & spiritually today.
  • Impressive work, about an incredible athlete.

Mike gives us his life with unheard of honesty. Vulgar in the beginning but that was Mike in his beginning. You see Mikes viscous side and also a tender side. Poor guy was taken advantage of and didn't have the knowledge or experience to see it. Finally after a long battle with his demons he is broken, humbled and begins to learn what is truly valuable in life. Thank you for sharing your life with us Mike, after reading your book I can only love you more and know you will be a success in whatever you do.
  • Thank You Mike...

I'm not even a book fan but Mike Tyson is a house hold name for most. I was very shocked to read what a messed up and complex life he has led. Really opens ones eyes when wanting to judge someone before knowing them. Definitely a person who has gone through hell and is still trying to piece his life back together. Def recommend this book to all.

I'm a HUGE reader, but rarely read memoirs. I believe, why write it if you're not willing to tell all...all rarely happens!?!? Undisputed Truth is the absolute best...raw-EST...as real as it gets memoir I've ever read. I literally enjoyed every page! I've recommended it to everyone I know! Best of luck to both Mike and Larry and thanks for an awesome read!!!!!!!

Couldn't put book down. When all these bad things were said about Tyson at the time of his decline, didn't want to believe them. They were actually so much worse. Every PPV fight, I would host " Carna Asadas" with my Mexican/American friends. He created so much excitement ( more after a few Pacifico's and Coronas) and even if the fight didn't last long, we are all jumping and screaming and admiring his prowess. There will never be such excitement in boxing again. I was a young boy during the Ali days and he created a lot of hoopla, but not close to Tyson. I feel so bad and I don't think "anyone" ever understood the pain and dysfunction this man was going through until reading this book. The overcompensation was a mask and after Cus, he was just used. This book was an overdue tribute to Cus and Camille for truly loving Mike. I have to say, I despise Don King with a passion. How can anyone live and look in the mirror after doing that to someone else? I hate to admit this but I am glad Mike got his licks in. He deserved it. The book was written so well that I could actually hear Mike's voice while reading it. I hope that is the ultimate compliment. As much as the Champ has been through, he's lucky to be alive. it may be what prepared him to deal with his ever-present inner demons and to be able to pave a road towards recovery and providing for his family. I met him once and he was a true gentlemen to my wife and kids. He even held his hands in front of him in prayer as we were leaving and said, God Bless You." We will never forget that. Mike should given himself more credit for his kind acts in the book. I am sure he touched a lot of people in many positive ways. Mike, hold your head up high and whether you believe it or not, you are still loved by many adoring fans. Keep moving forward!

I bought this book after Tyson's hilarious interview(s) on Opie and Anthony and couldn't put it down. Some parts are ridiculously funny and other gut wrenchingly heartbreaking. It's an amazing book and I highly recommend it!

Mike Tyson's narrative is truly his greatest knockout... While this story provides insight into the life of the "baddest man on the planet," more importantly and candidly, he conveys the rehabilitated message of an undisputed champion. This is a man whom has seen the many peeks and valleys of fame and fortune. I'm hopeful that one day his story will transcend the pages of this incredible book to the silver screen. Well done, Champ!

I used to despise the guy, but over the years, as he has opened up more and been willing to show us who he really is, I’ve found that its hard not to like the guy. In this book, in which he appears to hold nothing back, he continues to let us look into his soul, and there’s a very interesting guy there, who just wants to be loved like everyone else. The more I learn about him and hear from him and see him, the more I can’t help but like and admire him. A good book, hard to put down.
