Description

A private plane explodes killing Finn's estranged uncle and his childhood love.
Coming to grips with the tragedy, Finn O'Brien puts the accident behind him until a misdirected insurance settlement, a federal investigation, and an arrogant ATF agent pique his curiosity and provoke his anger. The explosion was no accident, the people on board had histories, and Finn O’Brien’s assistance in the investigation is not wanted. Unable to find justice, Finn goes rogue, incurring the ire of everyone while his investigation leads him through a deadly labyrinth created by big business and personal passions. In the end Finn discovers that his life, and the lives of those he loves, are in the hands of a distant and deadly relation.

This writer is outstanding and can really tell a story. I am not sure what makes an author stand higher than most other authors, but I do know that this one does. The story, characters, and situations were compelling and believable. I thoroughly enjoyed the read. If I had any complaints, as an aviation person, were that some of the aviation sections had errors, but none to the extent of causing any real distractions or harming the story. Super book I highly recommend.

Loved the twists this story took. I especially appreciated that there wasn’t a sappy, predictable Hallmark ending, despite the fact that one was palpable from the beginning. It was refreshing that it was avoided; yet each of the remaining characters find their own unique happiness.

I was thrilled when this book came out as I have thoroughly enjoyed the first 4 books of the series. I love the cast of characters. Interesting story line, well written, and here’s to hoping Cori and Finn end up together!

I’ve read both the Josie Bates (Witness) and Finn O’Brien (Relations) series and loved them. In each, my attention was grabbed right away and stayed that way throughout the book, leaving me anxious to read another. The character development by Forster brings them to life and makes me care about each one. Finn O’Brien is not perfect but he tries to do the right thing, against great odds at times. In this book, although he doesn’t want to believe it, he finds the problem, or answer, is closer to home than he realized. A great read!

An Agent gets Finn curiosity and also his anger. Wanting answers and justice he goes rogue. and that’s only the beginning of what he uncovers, his loved ones now are involved. Excellent plot, Finn’s character is great, you feel his tension, and frustration as he tangles with the big guys companies. Given ARC for my voluntary review and my honest opinion
