Description
The aftermath of a shocking crime sends Jack Ryan, Jr., down a path that leads to international destruction in the latest entry in this #1 New York Times bestselling series.
The quiet of a Texas night is shattered by the sounds of screeching brakes, crumpling metal and, most shockingly, rapid gunfire. The auto accident Jack Ryan Jr thought he witnessed turned out to be a professional hit. Jack may be too late to save the victim, but he’ll be damned if he’s going to let the hitters escape justice.
He’s got just one lead—a meeting the victim was going to. When Jack shows up instead, he’s drawn into the seedy underbelly of a small, Texas town and the cold case of a college student who vanished from its streets.
Jack is left with nothing but questions. Who wants it to look like the victim was drunk? Why does someone want an innocent witness killed? And most of all, what’s a team of South African hitmen doing in the Lone Star State?
His quest for answers will take Jack from a quiet Texas road to the middle of an international conspiracy and may just cost him his life.

4By JPB 9871A nice Jack Ryan thriller. Great to read on a long plane ride.Great Book
5By ftofrdeOutstanding, action packed, well researched.Fast paced story. Engaging.
4By GDubs321Fast pace. Thoughtful story. Clark and Ding were just a reference though and left out. They are important characters in the Jack Ryan Jr. story line and were missed.Weapons Grade
4By SlowJoeMoeIt's true, Jack Ryan, Jr., suffers more injuries than a mere mortal would ever be expected to survive. But on the other hand, it's advertised as fiction and one heck of a good read. William Z Conway, author of "Sims's Pathway to Heaven"Good follow-on to the series
4By Al.J.MeierI must agree - the brutal encounters for Jack, goes far beyond the tolerance of human capability. Of course, Jack needs to continue for the success of the series, but, maybe Jack could wear some form of high tech body armor to allow him to survive these encounters - or maybe he goes to an advanced medical facility that can make the necessary repairs.Great and exciting
5By grutfdAnother barn burnerWord count is not the same as story telling….

1By Plano skywatcherToo many SUPERMEN! Jack gets beaten beyond comprehension enough for 10 strong men, but keeps on ticking after any normal human would be hospitalized for months! Makes a mockery of reality!Couldn’t put it down
5By pajclThe first book in the series since Tom Clancy passed that truly meets or even exceeds the standard he set. Can’t wait for the next one from Bentley
