The Wilder Brothers latest book, is actually about a different branch of the Wilder family..the cousins of the “E” bunch! First up, oldest brother Ridge, who’s holding on to secrets even his own brothers don’t know, now works security at the resort/winery/new brewery, et al, and is part owner of it all. He’s intrigued, against his will, with Aurora. When she became a widow 5 years earlier, Aurora lost not only her husband, but her dreams, her job and the rest of her family. Upon answering a post to help out a bride in need of a dress, she meets the Wilder family, who help point her towards a new career, wonderful new friends…and Ridge. She, too, is intrigued. Not against her will, but she’s still gun shy. A friendship begins, feelings are grown and these two grieving people find more in common than they expected. Without giving more away, this book hits on some hard subject matter. It produced more than a few tears, but it also, hopefully, gives hope to those who have suffered their own loss. Ridge and Aurora are characters you want to see find happiness again. They are also people I would want to be friends with myself. Carrie Ann Ryan is always a must read author in my world. I embrace and enjoy her stories and characters and admire the skill with which to weaves them together. But having a glimpse behind the pages of this book in particular, shows me just how strong and resilient she herself is, like her characters. I think it’s the most powerful book she has written. Oh, and to end on a more relaxed note…prepare to be hungry while reading. There’s lots of cake and other goodies in this book. I wouldn’t be opposed to a cookbook tie-in!

Local baker Aurora sees a plea on social media for someone in need of a wedding dress. Widow Aurora heeds the call and offers the use of her wedding dress. Ridge sees Aurora and is drawn to her but doesn’t quite understand why there’s a connection. Both are still dealing with the aftermath of losing their significant others, including their former in-laws. Both Aurora and Ridge want to be happy but are unsure how to do that. This was a pretty fast paced read with a good bit of spice sprinkled throughout. 4.5/5 stars for this read

Ridge & Aurora’s story is truly heartbreaking. Both are incredible characters who have both have suffered losses, losses that would cripple any one else. Ridge came to Texas to start over with his family. The horrible loss & guilt he carries keeps him from moving on & finding any happiness again. Aurora has been suffering with her grief of her deceased husband for 5 years & the toll of being shunned by her in laws. With a chance encounter involving her wedding dress, she ends up meeting Ridge & well…. Both characters were strong despite their grief & guilt. I enjoyed reading about these two & seeing the growth between them & their insta live story. Great job!

Are they meant to move on together, or will his past come back to disrupt their healing progress? This is only my second book by this author and my first in this series, and I am totally hooked! I loved the premise that brought Aurora to the Wilder Retreat, and her and Ridge’s backstories really touched my heart. The way they connected on multiple levels really drew me in, and the romance, the emotions, the friendships, and the suspense kept me riveted to the pages. I also loved the focus on the relationship between Ridge and his brothers as well. I can’t wait to find out how their stories unfold, and I look forward to going back to read the Wilders I missed. Clearly, I’ve been missing out! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 🌶️🌶️

This is book 7 in the Wilder Brothers series and it features Ridge Wilder and Aurora Lee. These two have both suffered tremendous losses. It might be time for them both to start moving on. Their attraction is sexy and so natural. It’s like they were meant to be. There is someone out there trying to take it all away and you’ll be surprised at who it turns out to be. I love everything this author writes! This one is just as fantastic as the rest but it hits a little deeper. I love the Wilders and their cousins are just as amazing. Their women seem to give them all the peace they’ve been silently seeking in their lives. These are people I would love to be friends with in real life. I can’t wait for the next book in this fabulous series!

This story was an emotional rollercoaster from the first page. Both Ridge and Aurora are broken souls that are managing to just make it through every day. When Aurora does an amazing selfless things she meets Ridge who can’t stop thinking about her. After meeting the Wilders Aurora’s begins to live again. After many speed bumps and detours they are able to mend their broken souls. Have tissue handy, this a tough one. Love them!!!

A heartbreaking, and yet a heartwarming, path of grief for Ridge and Aurora leads them both to the same place with different ideas of how to move forward. The chemistry they feel has them both feeling things they hadn’t in years and guilty at the same time. When the bad things in their lives follow will they be able to move on and find a 2nd chance at happiness or do they lose it all? Grab this emotions all over the place romance and enjoy their journey!!!

Back in the Wilder world, and it’s definitely a favorite of mine. This time, it’s Wilder by cousin, a grumbly version of sorts. Ridge has been through it and has shifted his world and joined the Wilder Retreat with his brothers (keeping it all family-extended version). He meets Aurora, a woman who lost her husband years ago and is donating her wedding dress to a bride in need. There were a lot of emotions here; sad, happy, funny and sexy. You pretty much hit them all. And you can’t help but fall for these two together. The tragedies they went through brought them to their happy ending
