I got 34% in and it just dragged some things on and sped up some things too much. George literally only looks at her in a sexual way. When he was thinking of her as pretty and good at piano he literally asked himself if she'd be as good in bed as she was at piano. She at least saw some depth in him throughout the beginning even if she was just hating on him. Also half of the boring things he says doesn't even make sense. Just my opinion but I don't think it's worth your time.

The book had a good plot, and was pretty decent for the short length. But the characters lacked depth and the book itself was very rushed. Also transition between events was choppy. Lastly the dialogue could have been more interesting.

A very short story. Didn’t find it in her usual style. I didn’t feel like I got to know the characters or their back stories and wondered how he found her again so easily once they separated. It was a free read though.

Quick, easy, and lovely read.

The premiss of the story was good. Plot was good. The continuity of it just didn’t flow. Wished it was a little more in depth. More details,less like a historical romance trying to be in a modern setting.

This book shamelessly plagiarizes plot and characters from E. M. Forster’s 1908 novel A Room With A View. I honestly can’t believe it was ever allowed to be published.

Falling in love can change a person disposition immensely

I found myself skimming more than reading. I did not care for the writing style, made it very difficult to finish but finish I did. The dialog was stilted and almost like it was a mash up between contemporary and historical romance.

Vacationing on her own in Florence after a breakup Lucy not only reconnects with an old New York neighbor, but also meets the mysterious George. The connection is instant but the course of true love rarely runs smoothly. After one perfect romantic night George disappears leaving Lucy hurt and confused. Back in the US their paths suddenly cross again a month later, and while the connection is undeniable there Lucy needs answers. This is a delightful story featuring some very likable characters and stunning settings. Alas it was over too soon for me!

This was a good quick read. I would have enjoyed less of the Florence descriptions of the art, and more interactions of the characters. The majority of the book was describing the scenery in Florence.

George was the perfect grumpy billionaire book boyfriend with a heart of gold … I loved reading every second of this short romance …

Love the grumpy sunshine aspect and Italian setting… this novella made me escape to a different country made me dream of it being already summer and me being on vacation where everything is possible…
