Description

Fans of Netflix's Virgin River series will love this small-town, feel-good romance! Harper’s career as a trauma nurse in New York City has left her exhausted and disillusioned. For the last four months, she’s been living in Sapphire Bay with her beloved grandfather, healing her mind and her heart from all the things she’s seen. Surrounded by the breathtaking scenery of her hometown, Harper forms a friendship with Owen—her best friend’s brother and a former police officer carrying the weight of his own haunted past. As they navigate the challenges of their lives, Harper and Owen are drawn together by their shared compassion and understanding. Amidst the backdrop of a tight-knit community, they embark on a journey of recovery that promises new beginnings and the rediscovery of hope. THE MAGIC OF SUNSHINE is the second book in the Love on Anchor Lane series and can easily be read as a stand-alone. All of Leeanna's series are linked. If you find a character you like, they could be in another novel. Praise for Leeanna Morgan's books: "I am addicted to Leeanna Morgan's books! The only problem with them is that I hate coming to the end of one. I love how she weaves the characters together and draws you right into their lives. If you haven't discovered her, please do give her books a try. You won't be disappointed, except for not having found her sooner!" "I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I couldn't put it down. I purchased it today and finished it just now. Captivating story from beginning to end. Definitely a five-star book." The constant putting down of “big cities” in such generalized ridiculous ways is beyond annoying. And the book is also beyond boring.

I have to admit that I didn’t enjoy this book as much as the 1st in the series. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a very sweet story, but….. I’m afraid it’s just too simplistic. At times, I felt like it had been written by a very young author before I realized that young people these days would not know about nor understand times as innocent as this. I look for & read clean books as often as I can find them, but I don’t think even Pat Boone, back in my youth, was this squeaky clean. Several times, I found myself rolling my eyes at the dialogue. If you want a book that your 80 year old grandmother or your 13 year old granddaughter could read without you having even a hint of embarrassment, this is the book for you!
