Description

He's sworn to protect, and never love again, but will she be the one to breach his walls?

My name is Josh Hawke, decorated SEAL and founder of Black Hawke Security. Some might call me arrogant. Women call me cold. Those who truly know me call me dangerous.

I'm all those things.

My priority is my elite team of former special ops who fulfill our contracts with governments and some of the most powerful people in the world.

When a famous rockstar hires us to protect his daughter, it's just another job. Until I meet Cassy Cartwright and her intense green eyes send a bolt of chemistry through me.

She's as infuriated as I am by it.

The last thing I want is private security intruding on my quiet, hard-fought-for life. Even if he is six foot four and the most gorgeous man I've ever seen.

Not interested.

Josh is going to distract all the clients in my hair salon and…protect me from the stalker who is out of prison and looking for me again thanks to my rock star father's comeback hit.

But that's all I want from him.

Black Hawke Security is a steamy private security romance with spice and tons of suspense and action. If you love former military and special ops alphas who fall for sassy heroines, then you'll love this series. Each book can be read as a standalone and has a happy ever after.

It would be a better story if it wasn’t so graphic. Couldn’t finish it. Had to skip to the end because of all the descriptive sex innuendos.

Juliette ALWAYS delivers!!! This was so so spicy and GREAT storyline. If you read as a stand a lone, just this series, or the previous series you will be just as excited or even more excited with these characters they bring their own unique set of skills and life histories. I am so excited for the next two books.

I really enjoyed this book, and the eleven spicy scenes! Perfect length, characters, and steam level! 🔥 There were only 6 grammatical errors. And I can’t wait to read more in this series!
  • Meh.

Rushed/ lack of story development. Fair amount of internal monologue that got repetitive/redundant. A lot of trite alpha male stuff that seems like it’d be a turnoff for this heroine, given her trauma history. Well done sex scenes. Mostly skimmed the last 2/3.

The story and plot were captivating, having some similarities in my own life, but the banter was too similar to the villain.

I read my share of alpha ex-military males who were some kind of skillful and professional protectors who managed to capture the hearts of their significant others in the process. I guess this particular novel was okay with a enough spicy moments in between the main couple, Josh and Cassy. Also, each of the have their point of view told through their eyes and unfortunately so does the sicko sociopath, the villain who was relentlessly stalking Cassy the entire time. Only a few hilarious moments with Cassy’s friends like Scarlet and Ryder had some kind of temporary comedic relief from time to time that made this reading less strenuous. Okay I admit I was mesmerized by the hot shirtless man on the digital book cover and from the first chapter describing how Josh had an eight pack abs with an awesome muscular body that pretty much got me want to buy the first book of the Black Hawke Security series. I commend and admire on how Josh’s dedication and professional commitment to protect Cassy is admirable. His backstory is heartbreaking but his bravery and determination to keep his client safe. As for Cassy’s backstory and character portrayed in the story, it’s so so. Yeah she’s shown bravery and try to live her life as normal as possible even after her stalker escaped from prison to relentlessly stalking and terrorizing her in hoping to win her heart?!? Even though the digital book just got released, I thought it was a different but okay read. I’ll still continue to buy the other digital books and continue to read to wrap up the book series.
