  • Amazing series!!

I am just blown away by the first two books in this trilogy. The writing is out of this world. So beautiful and poetic despite the material being dark and twisty. Pam has a real talent with story telling. This book is struggle after struggle with a lot of wins and some losses. Nothing quite as devastating as book 1 though. I knew going in that this book would leave off on a cliffhanger, but they were both available via my library at the same time so I just had to read them versus waiting until closer to book 3's release. The cliffhanger of this book isn't THAT bad. Things are bleak but not unmanageable. I have not read anything this dark in a while. I am just sickened by many of the events that take place in these books. But the way the characters overcome and persevere is such a journey worth taking. The love is palpable and so well deserved. I'm so anxious for what happens next and how they are all going to get their HEA.

Pam Godwin is weaving together an absolutely phenomenal, diabolical trilogy, and I am 1000% here for it! Cage of Ice and Echoes is the second book in the Frozen Fates trilogy. Godwin’s incredible storytelling takes readers on new perilous adventures in the Arctic Circle. When I penned my review of Hills of Shivers and Shadows, I said the bar was set undeniably high, and the epic cliffhanger left me gasping. I hold Godwin to a higher caliber of storytelling, and she’s never disappointed me in the past—and she didn’t start with Cage of Ice and Echoes! As they fight like crazy to escape HOSS, Frankie and her guys continue to dance to the tune their psycho tormentor sets while their relationships deepen, and profound grief and doubt paint the bleakest of pictures. After her abduction and the horrors of life at HOSS, most FMC would be crying in the corner, but Frankie’s got no quit in her. Life in the remote cabin in Alaska brought new perils, the likes of which only the strongest could survive, but Frankie and her guys refused to give up in the face of adversities that would have bested anyone else. They fight, and when everything is bleakest, they fight harder and harder still to escape. Set in one of the last inhabitable places on earth, readers are taken on a jaunt where madness, mayhem, and scorching chemistry prevail. It’s become far more than a game of survival of the fittest for Frankie and her guys. I swooned hard for the MMCs with Hills of Shivers and Shadows, but seeing the character arcs unfold throughout Cage of Ice and Echos just reaffirms my belief that Godwin’s character development in this storyline is second to none. It’s one of many strengths I see in Godwin’s writing again and again. And while often, the second book of a trilogy is like the soggy middle of a sandwich, there is nothing about this book two that had me ready to tap out. Watching the relationships develop was a reward of its own, and Cage of Ice and Echoes added new depths to the brewing romances—OMG, it’s killing me to keep mum because I have so much I want to say about Kodiak! But to keep this review spoiler-free, I’ll say that I’ll never look at a hunting cabin again without that scene living rent-free.😈🔥 I’ve never read anything like the Frozen Fates books, but I can tell you they’ve had me in a chokehold, and I HIGHLY recommend them to dark romance-loving readers. (Provided they check the trigger warnings first because Pam Godwin doesn’t write G-rated fairytales!) While the story she’s painting is one rife with emotions and unputdownable, it’s also unquestionably dark. The depths of the storyline continued to surprise me right up to the cliffhanger with feelings of heightened emotions, most notability hope but I know not to look for light too soon because I’m sure the conclusion of this trilogy is likely to be as dark, brutal, and savage as it is blazing hot!

These characters have have drawn me in so deep. No spoilers, but this trilogy is full of triggers so be warned. But if you have none, it is a must read for sure!!!!!

This book. This series. I’m going to try to find words that are worthy of these books. Cage of Ice and Echoes jumps right into where book one left off and thank gosh for that, because if you’ve read book one you know exactly what I mean. Fair warning this one does end on a cliffhanger as well but was less of a straight drop in my opinion. 😂 The beginning was a little bit slower to get back into the swing of things for me but once I connected I was flying through this book. It had my heart pounding, and my mind spinning. Seriously the mysteries unwinding, all while the characters are on this wild ride of survival was a crazy ride. The writing as always was beautifully lyrical and captivating. So many answers in this book, and yet so many more questions. I fell even more for these characters. The love and connection they share is beautiful in all its chaos. I can not wait for book three this August. It’s going to be bittersweet because as much as I want this next chapter to their story I will also be sad for the ending. Reasons to read: -Heart-pounding action -Steamy 🔥 -Captivating writing -Beautiful chaotic love story

The twists and turns in this icy, heart wrenching, but also scorching hot dark romance keep coming in the second installment of this series. Expect the unexpected. Expect all the feels. Expect to be mind blown. Pam Godwin has done it again, turning villains into characters you find yourself rooting for, and the unconventional into a tempting and heart pounding desire of all. Because why choose? Frankie continues to push her physical and emotional limits into the heroine MC that I adore. She’s feisty, and fiery, so of course the men in this story can’t get enough of her. Be prepared to fall into this story head over heels, and considering these characters to be running through your mind day and night. Read at your own risk.
  • Another Knockout from Pam Godwin!!

Cage of Ice and Echoes by is the second book in an exciting rollercoaster of a series that constantly leaves me breathless and eagerly anticipating the next chapter. From start to finish, this book had my heart pounding with its intense and heartbreaking scenes, gripping plot twists, and of course some spicy moments 🥵 Pam’s intricate storytelling kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time and unable to put the book down (my 3 am texts to some friends can vouch for this). A standout feature of A Cage of Ice and Echoes is its ability to keep readers guessing over and over again. Just when I thought I had a plot point figured out, the story took a completely unexpected turn, leaving me reeling and desperate to know what would happen next. The book's cliffhanger riddle was a heart-stopping moment that had me gasping in shock and disbelief. My heart aches for the characters that I feel like I know personally at this point. Pam’s ability to create such compelling characters is a testament to her talent and skill as an author. As a fan of both suspense and dark romance novels, I can say with absolute confidence that A Cage of Ice and Echoes is a must-read. Not only is it captivatingly thrilling, it is a story that will leave you begging for more. I cannot wait for the next book to come out this August!!

It’s honestly hard to put into words my thoughts and feelings about this book. This series. It’s so very intense. Emotional. Dark. Twisted. Suspenseful. Shocking. It’s really all the things. You will be so invested you will not want to put this book down. The journey Frankie, Leo and Kodiak are on. The deep emotional trauma they’ve all endured. The healing they start. How brave they are. The books had some twists I did not expect. Then boom that ending. Whoa!! 🤯

This book gave me so much anxiety but in the best way! This book had me at the edge of my seat - secrets are uncovered and questions are answered that left me shocked. It picks up where book 1 left off so I’m not going into details to avoid spoilers. This is still a story about desperation, survival, and passion, but what I really enjoyed was how the romantic relationships were weaved into the story. It was a fantastic contrast to the scenery and the spicy scenes were top notch. I desperately need to get my hands on book 3!!

This book, this series, has an absolute chokehold on me! I cannot get enough. And after that ending, I NEED book 3 MORE than I need to breathe!! The characters and the plot are one of a kind and I don’t think anyone could do it as well as Pam does it! There’s not a point in the story where I get bored with story or annoyed with the characters. It’s such a unique and amazing experience reading this series! You will feel all the feelings while reading, it’s remarkable. The plot, the characters, THE SPICE, I couldn’t get enough throughout this book. I absolutely CANNOT wait for book 3 to come out, I’m so ready to see where this whole story goes and how the questions will be answered! 5/5 rating 3.5/5 spice rating
