The mission he is tasked with will require bloody measures from them all in order to achieve its righteous ends.

GREAT
5By BanjoQPAbercrombie delivers once again.Did not enjoy
1By SEUmlandI read the author’s “Shattered Sea” series, which was moderately enjoyable. I found this book infuriating. Too many devil characters not having a role, or explanation of their role, during different phases of the book.Boring
2By tc_stingOk. Story = overlooked female lead that is, surprise, attractive with heart of gold. Coupled with god like socially misunderstood companions. No intrigue because primary characters are never at risk of death. All characters literally talk in same format so you don’t event know the difference It takes ages to progress the story because character driven plot fails when each character is basic one dimension cliche that folds into themselves Had to dump this at 25%z what a dudeAmazing all around, full of hilarity and action!
5By Mike EzepchickThis book was awesome all-around. Not only was it genuinely hilarious, it was also full of memorable action, characters, and world-building (medieval Europe but full of monsters, magic, and the threat of Elf invasion). The story followed a gang of misfits on a mission and all the characters were legitimately fun and memorable - it’s rare when there aren’t any boring POVs in a book, but that was certainly the case here. They all had their own unique afflictions and they all had their own moments to shine. It definitely made me excited for a series with these guys. This was my first Abercrombie book and I came away incredibly impressed. He’s such a good writer, I’m excited to read his other books.Airball
4By William GouldReally disappointed in this book as I liked some of the authors other books. The characters are not very likable and there isn’t enough interest generated to keep me engaged.More, please
5By PR 3672More like The Devils, please. Lots of action, with a healthy dollop of humor. Thank you!The Devils
4By Kooltrk67Great book! He’s a awesome writer! If you haven’t read his works yet give him a try.Not Joe’s best
2By FantasyFaves 2021I’ve a fairly high tolerance for swearing and gore. But they don’t take the place of character and plot. And pasting a witticism into every other sentence isn’t particularly witty. There were some good turns here and there. I made it to the end, eventually. But I’ve read most of his books and would rank this lowest. The Devils
5By QuadDueI actually didn’t care for this at the beginning of the story. It just felt off-beat compared to his other works, which am a true fan of. Especially anything with Logan and Ferro, miss her lol. They’re such a great flawed characters. But Devils did not disappoint as the story developed. When is the next book? Can you bring Ferro back? LOL!Missed you Joe,..
