This was different from other romance stories. The loss of a brother brings her to a small town. She has lived in an abusive marriage for years and has physical and emotional injuries. A widowers falls in love with her. There’s so much fear and emotions that you can’t help but to feel with them. Great story.

I love this series. The characters are very relatable and easy to understand their plights. While the stories are easy to read, they are thought provoking but yet so exciting. I can’t wait to continue.

I enjoyed this book very much from the first page to the last! I cried I laughed and could relate to the characters in the story. This was the first book that I read by this author. I can’t wait to read her other books. I definitely recommend this book to others to read.

Loved the overall story and characters. However, the detail on some cases was too much and some just seemed to be totally skipped over.

I have definitely read worse stories, but the author lacks a depth in their writing that draws you in. It lacks emotion that helps you connect. I had a hard time continuing to read this one and was looking forward to the end. Will not read any more in the series.

It’s pretty simple. Not a lot of detail and kinda boring. Easy to guess, characters are under developed.

Sweet story about finding oneself as well as love after an abusive marriage. Good read and uplifting story in which to lose oneself during the most troubling times in real life. This was a welcome relief from dealing with Covid-19 in our community. Thank you Jill Sanders. I needed this diversion!
