Dr Arın Bayraktaroglu was Lector at the University of Cambridge 1977–1982, and lecturer 1994–1996. She had worked as co-director at The Cambridge Centre for Languages (1982–2002) where she is now Director. She also works as an Examination Setter for Turkish at Foreign and Commonwealth Office London. Her field of specialisation is Ethnomethodology and conversation analysis.She visits Turkey regularly and spends considerable time there every year.
