Description

From Wall Street Journal and USA Today bestselling author Emma Slate comes a brand-new cowboy biker series for fans of Hart of Dixie and Seven Brides for Seven Brothers. When my fiancé leaves me because I can’t have children, I do the only thing I can think of . . . I run away to my family’s ranch in Idaho to hide from my feelings and nurse my wounded heart. I expect the comforts of home, the solitude of the mountains, and long horseback rides through the forest. What I don’t expect is my father’s new ranch hand. Declan Brewer. Tall. Dark. Rugged. And he looks just as delicious on a horse as he does a Harley. He’s got a wicked smile full of promises . . . Our chemistry is undeniable, and in one forbidden moment, we combust. But instead of burning out, our energy rages into a passionate inferno. Between bouts of pleasure in Declan’s arms and the laughter we share in his bed, he chips away at the armor I’ve erected around my heart. Declan is everything I’ve ever wanted, but I’m scared he won’t stay when he finds out the truth . . . I’m broken, and I don’t know if love will be enough.

Emma Slate delivers another heartfelt and captivating series with Huckleberry Hill. From the first page, I was completely drawn into Hadley and Declan’s world, a love story that’s tender, passionate, and refreshingly real. Declan strikes the perfect balance between strength and sensitivity, while Hadley’s emotional journey is both relatable and inspiring. What really stood out to me was the richness of the supporting characters. Hadley’s bond with her sister, Salem, in New York is powerful and grounding, and her friends add depth and color to her life in meaningful ways. Then there’s Huckleberry Hill itself, a town full of unforgettable characters who bring heart, humor, and healing. It’s the kind of place you can picture yourself living in, with a community that feels like family. Emma Slate has a gift for creating stories that feel immersive and emotionally honest. Huckleberry Hill is no exception. It’s a story about love, loss, and finding your way back to yourself, with just the right touch of small-town magic. The only thing I didn’t love? Reaching the end and realizing I have to wait for the next book!

Such a cute story! But can you really go wrong with a cowboy who rides a Harley?! Declan and Hadley are a strong couple from the very start and it’s so easy to see how much their love grows as their story progresses. The banter between all the characters makes the reader feel like it’s real conversations and real moments. There were plenty of scenes when I actually giggled out loud! Can’t wait to meet the rest of the Huckleberry Hill crew. And…. The Universe comes back around with a Motorcycle Club President and his wife making a brief appearance!!!
