  • Great book, slick Apple Books integration with audio.

These lessons feel great and while I’m only a few weeks in I can feel improvement fast. The integration with audio inside the Books app is really nicely done. Bonus, I added the audio files via the HalLeonard.com/mylibrary function and print a page a week (screenshot + print) so I can play ‘offline’ as I look at screens plenty. I’ve tried a number of online bass lessons and a few books but this approach- one lesson a week- has a great cadence and is working well for me.

The exercises are fine. But the writer/publisher apparently did not take the trouble to do anything to make this iBook user friendly. You can’t position most of the sound clips with the etudes they belong to. You have to keep going back and forth. Very annoying. Maybe when it was published there was no way to do that, but if that’s the case, it should be republished now.
