Pre-IB Maths

We have written this resource with the intention of helping students to get off to a strong start in their Senior School studies.
Nothing frustrates students and their teachers more than being held back by basic errors in fundamental techniques.
Students who are doing well understanding complex concepts but who get wrong answers because they make errors when manipulating indices, solving equations , etc. need a help with these skills.
This resource identifies a number of these danger areas and presents a
review of crucial techniques.
We have assumed that all students will have studied these techniques before, but may have forgotten things, developed bad habits, risky short-cuts , etc. We have provided a resource that hopefully will identify and remediate these ‘holes’.
This is not intended for students encountering these ideas for the first time.
