Description

ADHD: Gift or Curse?  The good news is that it's up to you.  Mark Patey has been there, and believes that he has achieved great success in life because of, rather than in spite of, his ADHD.  Mark explains in plain (and very entertaining) English how you can leverage the gifts while minimizing the challenges associated with ADHD.

If you have ADD or your kids have ADD, you really need to read this book. It’s a fantastic shiny object to hyperfocus on for a few hours. And it will change your relationship with life and those in your life. It will be hard to put this into practice with my sons. But so worth it.

I agree with so many of the principles you spelled out in Addicts and Millionaires. ADHD was a lot more a curse than a gift before I read your book! I need to focus on finding an equal opposite like Dave Neilson.

I have read or listened to many books about ADHD and I found Addicts and Millionaires to be one of the most enjoyable and compelling. Mark Patey weaves together simple and direct road maps for success and touching accounts of the shared human experience. Whether you are a parent of an ADHD child or an adult co-existing with your busy mind, this book will help you to recognize the gifts and avoid the potential pitfalls. Mark Patey and Dave Nielsen truly understand ADHD and want to help others find their path to successful and fulfilling lives.

There's a lot of advice out there from "experts" as to how best to manage ADHD, but so much of it seems like the grown-ups from a Charlie Brown special. This book is different. The author has been there and lived through what it's like to have ADHD, and has come out ahead. His strategies are practical, and they actually make sense. (As it turns out, I'm lucky enough to have married my "E.O."!) Highly recommended.
