  • Yearly release?

Siracusa wonders if yearly releases are hampering Apple from truly revolutionizing OS X standbys like the Finder. I wonder what Siracusa's razor sharp yearly focus to one of the least exciting things coming out of Cupertino, is keeping him from. It really says something that it took me a month to finish this review, pouring over every link and detail. Without doubt, these yearly reviews are worth their weight in gold to anyone with a genuine interest in not only OS X but what Apple is thinking behind the scenes. I just wonder what else Siracusa could do if he slept a bit more and put those thousand hours of writing towards something new between WWDC and the end of fall each year.

This is the definitive review. If not only because he didn't throw the raccoon away...

Wonderful description of Mavericks. John adds wonderful long-term perspective (he’s been doing this for a long time) and excellent opinionated commentary. I laughed out lound a few times and was smiling so much while reading the final paragraph. Thank you John for doing this for us.
