The Story of Balaam and His Donkey

The Israelites traveled on and camped on the plains of Moab near Canaan.  The king of Moabites, Balak heard the Israelites were coming to the Promised Land.  He wanted to stop them from going through his land.  Balak sent his messenger to ask Balaam, a mystic, to curse the Israelites.  The messenger went to see Balaam quickly and gave him a big bag of gold, asking him to do what Balak said.  Did Balaam accepted the gold?
