Description
MBAs are very highly regarded because, at a fundamental level, they provide two major elements: Knowledge and Skills. Although in most MBAs the element Knowledge receives a lot of formal support and examination it often appears that the element Skills can be neglected and may even, in some cases, be viewed as something that can be ‘picked up’ by some kind of peer osmosis in which students who do not have, or are poor at MBA skills, will, through mixing with people who are strong in such skills, learn them. Yet it is skills rather than knowledge that employers want most from MBA graduates. Also when completing an MBA it is important to have the self confidence to present, communicate and analyse in front of professors and peers.
This book aims to provide all MBA students with a register of skills which will help them be successful and happy while completing their MBAs and more to help them lead successful lives. The main skills considered are communication skills and skills of analysis. Additionally, as this is an iPad book, it is mobile and can be used anywhere at any time and, as it relies heavily on movies rather than text, it makes it suitable for learning while traveling.
In short the book aims to support MBA students who have trepidation about some of the important skills which they need to develop and display on their journey through their MBAs and more importantly in their careers.
