5By MistyddorI very much appreciate the way this author doesn’t over saturate the books in this series with a lot of back story. I often feel this takes away from the current storyline’s importance. This book only gave the information that was needed in order to understand. Anyone can pick this book up and follow along. Reading the other books aren’t required. However, this author tells great stories and highly recommend you read them, especially this one!Excellent!

4By I feel dumb!The author put a lot of time and effort into the historical aspects of this story. The twist at the end is good, if not mildly foreseeable, but it’s not blatantly pointed out until the end. The main character, Dani, is portrayed very well, especially her love for artifacts and old houses. My one misgiving is how easily Cage and Dani fall for each other. There seems to be a little bit of the chemistry between the two missing or just under played, but even that is not bad.Skeleton’s Key
