Reviews
The ending has no imagination
2By dope_amineThe plot and story are good but the suspense leads to a boring / uninteresting end.Great book
5By brunaaliceMurakami’s writing is different to most. So don’t expect to get anything you have in books in the past. I personally adore his writing and the magic realism stories he tells and how he tells them. This was one of the first books I read by him. It’s been years and I still think of it sometimes. It’s a great read, but I can’t say it’s for everyone.Where is the great writing?
2By kevoz22Some of the reviews I read said how great the writing was in this book. Maybe the writing is great in Japanese. The word choice is often awkward and the metaphors are odd. And, sorry if this is a spoiler, the last chapter is missing. I gave it two stars as the plot is kind of interesting and I liked several of the charactersWorst Murakami to date
2By Matt31415Although I have been a fan of Murakami for years, this book was a disappointment. Boring plot, zero drama, terrible and wooden dialogue. This book should be called, "A book written about the most boring guy in Japan." I hope Murakami doesn't phone in any more novels like this one.Good read
5By Cmore ButtsA very introspective look at the life of a person with abandonment and intimacy issues. His journey to overcome that and the journey he went through to get there.A must read book
5By Maitha Al GhurairLoved it... Murakami never fails to impress the readers with his story telling techniques.Full of colors!
4By Aziz S.I was given time to reflect, & the author intentionally makes you feel like you're living someone else's life with every passing page. At least I learned a thing or two about trains!Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgramage
1By 16?daiana77This latest book was yet again a disappointment. The earliest books were so very fun to read! What has happened?! Boring, boring, boring!Quoteable.
4By William FrisellaOne to relish the genius of the authors words on love and life. A sequel has to be forthcoming.Colorless Tsukuru Tazaki and His Years of Pilgrimage
2By amradiobabeThis book is as colorless as it's title character. It's like a premise of a book, a launching pad for a really great novel that ends before it's potential has been reached.
