Description

An American girl finds her prince in this "fun and dishy" (People) royal romance inspired by Prince William and Kate Middleton.

American Bex Porter was never one for fairy tales. Her twin sister Lacey was always the romantic, the one who daydreamed of being a princess. But it's adventure-seeking Bex who goes to Oxford and meets dreamy Nick across the hall - and Bex who finds herself accidentally in love with the heir to the British throne.

Nick is wonderful, but he comes with unimaginable baggage: a complicated family, hysterical tabloids tracking his every move, and a public that expected its future king to marry a Brit. On the eve of the most talked-about wedding of the century, Bex looks back on how much she's had to give up for true love... and exactly whose heart she may yet have to break.

I really loved this book. The love triangle was unexpected and definitely made me wonder what-if when it comes to the one she ends up choosing!

Instead of an actual plot we get a love triangle in the present and the past. It all seems irrelevant at the end of the story since the ending doesn’t really resolve anything. The first book had so much potential but I can’t lie the sequel left me disappointed.

I just didn’t like it. It dragged on and on and the characters annoyed me. All of them. I only finished it because I was in a book club. I appreciate a good chick- lit book but this was just boring.

I’m so sick of reading books with typos. Who do you have transcribing?! You are ruining the entire experience.

This well-written, romance mystery starts with Bex, Princess to be, facing a crisis on her wedding day and proceeds to tell the story of the epic romance that got her to the altar with the Prince of Wales. Loosely based on Will & Kate, the book is a must for anyone interested in the Royals or who loves modern romance. The characters are 3 dimensional and relatable and the real life inspiration makes it all feel very plausible. I really recommend it, have read it twice, and can’t wait for a second book based on Harry...

I devoured this book to the detriment of all productivity. The sad thing is that when they make it into a movie they'll have to cut a lot out to make it fit in under 2hrs.
  • I wanted to like it

I read the entire book because I love stories and movies about royals and England. However, I didn't think this book was written well. There were a lot of tangents that kept throwing me from the story and I begrudgingly kept turning the page because I wanted to like it. There were also so many characters to keep track of with too many nicknames. I couldn't keep them straight and I didn't care enough about them to want to.

The perfect light read with a blend of charm, love and wit. Enough suspense at the end of each chapter to keep you wanting more.
