Worth Forgiving

Another great book by VI Keeland.

Great story!!! Good characters!!!

I love this series. Worth Forgiving was an excellent conclusion, worthy of the first two book. I was always a die-hard Nico fan, but Jax is giving him a run for his money! “Oh f**k this,’ I growl, taking the two strides to reach her quickly, finding all the emotions in her eyes that I feel deep inside of me. Lust. Need. Desire. Hunger so deep, it consumes me. Walking us two steps until her back is to the wall, I reach down and lift her up easily. Pinning her body between mine and the wall, I wrap her legs around my waist and bury my face in her neck, breathing deeply to take in her scent. Heat pulsating wildly through my veins, I pull my head back, dig my hips deeply into her parted legs so she can feel how hard she’s affecting me and claim her mouth in a kiss.” Jax is just about everything you could want in a guy. He handsome as sin, wealthy, honest, sweet, and has the body of a fighter. *sigh* He is a complete gentleman until he gets Lily in the bedroom. His commanding and passionate attitude are enough to burn up the sheets! And oh, that dirty, dirty mouth…* I’m melting into a puddle…* He is determined not to be anything like his dishonest, cheating, slimy father, which just makes him all the more attractive. When Jax and his brother finally connect, they act like teenage boys, almost like they are trying to make up for lost time. It’s adorable!!! Yet another facet to Jax that had me falling even more in love with him. His possessiveness is just dominant enough to be HOT, without suffocating. He steps up to protect Lily from her dangerous ex and does his best to help her realize her dreams. Even though he “omitted” the fact that he was the sole investor for her gym, personally, I completely understood and would have done the same. I felt he was justified and that Lily reacted a little too strongly. She knew what his father was like, and after all that they had learned about each other, she should have known better. Enough to give him a chance to explain and find out what really happened. There is just no way Lily could have resisted this smooth talking devil. “I pull her close to me, wrapping my arms around her tightly, wishing I could take away the pain I see buried deep. But for now, until she’s ready to give it to me to hold, I’ll just hold her tight.” Lily is a little bit of a contradiction. However, this made more real, more human to me. She is strong, determined to keep her father’s dream alive and make it without him by her side. Her capacity for love is boundless and she falls into it with everything she’s got. While that trait is admirable, it can throw a wrench in plans to be independent if you let loss break you. This is what happened when her father died, her heart was crushed to a point where she could not function. Ultimately, in the end, it almost ruined her completely, killing the dream she was so desperate to hold on to. Caden, the man she was leaning on, is no one you want to mess with. Least of all Lily. Her approach towards him was starting to put a dent in my admiration of her character. She was so timid and guilt ridden (especially with Caden manipulating her kindness). She totally redeemed herself in my eyes when I realized that the core of her attitude was driven by a physical fear of him. This book was fun to read. There were no moments when I thought, “will this scene ever end?” The ending was just what I needed to round out the series. It left me all warm and fuzzy!

** A little reminder for those that might be wondering who is Jackson... We met Jackson briefly in Worth the Chance. Vince’s half-brother, son of the Senator – that cutie that hit on Liv and seemed like he was more beyond the smooth polish he had to show the world... Yeah, that’s Jackson. Jax’s life has been turned upside down over the last few months when the story hits that his father, the Senator has lived a double life. The press had hounded him and for the first time he isn’t looking to be what his father has groomed him to be. That was all lost when his father tumbled from the pedestal he was perched on. Now he is off to discover his own dreams and to become his own man. Business has come easy to him but mixed martial arts has always been a passion. Heading to New York to work a deal to invest in a gym franchise will be the perfect way to blend his two worlds. Escaping the media circus and his father is just an added bonus. Lily was raised around the ring. Her father was a fighter and now carrying on his legacy through his gym has become her life. Taking on a partner has its risks, but knowing that she’d remain in control set herself at ease. What had her nerves on edge was the beautiful man that was set on closing that deal. Attraction was instant, but she had to worry about Camden – the man that couldn’t see that her breaking up with him months ago was the end of the relationship she never really wanted. Lucky for her, Jax isn’t about to let a man unwilling to let go of a fantasy get in his way. I am a solid fan of Vi’s work. Whether it’s in the form of a hot hotel owner or a sweaty, muscled piece of man meat in a ring – she has a way of creating fantastic alpha males that make you swoon. Each fractured in their own way but all with confidence and determination. Jax was no different. I loved watching him go after what he wanted. The chemistry between Lily and Jax was perfection. A slow burn that ignited into a fire as they give in to what they both desire. I found myself reaching back for those moments of sexual tension though. Once these two give in to the attraction, I felt like that chemistry dwindled a bit. The sex was still scorching but I longed for that initial feeling of the build-up that was lost a bit as they tumbled into bed. The moments where they were just in each other’s company were some of my favorites. There is a simple and easy way about the way this author writes her stories. There are twists and turns along the way, but you are never left wondering if you are going to get to that happy place by the end. It’s a pure feel good read, the kind that you can get completely lost in. The third and final installment of the series was a great note to close this chapter on. Nico, Vince and Jax all delivered fantastic reads and I am excited to see what Vi brings us next.

OMG where do I begin. I'm so in love with this series. This latest edition and it's FANTASTIC. When I reached the end of this book I found my self smiling uncontrollably and chanting Jax ,Jax ,Jax. Jackson Knight is the perfect mixture of ALPHA male and perfect gentleman. I really feel sorry for the men in the next book I pick up. I will be comparing them to Jax and that's just not fair to them. I will be feeling the effects of a fabulous book hangover for days. Worth Forgiving really is a brilliant love story filled with it all. You go through an array of emotions as their story unfolds. You will feel love, anger , fear , hatred and a connection so HOT you may need to read in front of a fan. This is so much more than a love story. You have so many people who play parts of their journey some you may not like. There were parts of this book that had me on the edge of my seat holding my breath. Hoping and praying that justice would prevail. Then we have the parts of this book that just made me heart swell rounded out with some things that just made you breath a little heavier and looking forward to what was going to happen next. They had a amazing connection that was more then just passion. Jax and Lily are perfect fit. So let me conclude by saying if you haven't started this series yet, WHAT ARE YOU WATING FOR? Worth The Fight is first and Nico will not disappoint , Worth the Chance is next and Vince Stone will leave you wanting more , Worth Forgiving is up next and Jax has made a play for the top spot in my heart. Vi Keeland truly is a phenomenal author who grabs ahold of you with chapter one and never let's go.

I am left in complete awe of this brilliant masterpiece that will without warning capture your heart and touch the depths of your soul. Provocative, exquisite, and completely mind-blowing, this story will burn its mantra of loving deeply, fighting courageously, and surrendering completely onto your heart. Prepare to ride a gut-wrenchingly exhausting yet emotionally fulfilling roller-coaster that will challenge you every step of the way. If you are looking for a jaw-dropping storyline, stunning characters, and a pulse-pounding thrill ride with twists and turns you never saw coming, then this is the book for you. Lilly St. Clair thought she was happy. She had a few bad spots in her life like her beloved father passing away and her friend turned lover who just can’t seem to take the hint that things are over, but otherwise, things are going well enough. The business is thriving albeit with a few hiccups, but it’s still very much alive. She has a wonderful best friend and business partner who are always there to help and provide a shoulder to lean on when things get tough. Life has a way of spicing things up every now and then, and it is also good at giving you exactly what you need even if you never knew you needed it. Just when Lily starts to get comfortable and think that she is exactly where she wants to be in walks Jackson Knight. He throws her entire world out of orbit, and yet she is drawn to him like a bear to honey. Lily has no idea what life has in store for her, but she is more than willing to find out no matter how long it takes. When I think of a way to describe this story, all I can picture is an uncontrollable yet beautiful hurricane that doesn’t leave destruction in its path but clears the way for a love between two people that is just so perfect and right that nothing can rightfully stand in its way. Lily and Jackson come from two completely different worlds and yet they are drawn to each other and compliment the other in a way that no one else can. The characters found in this story are absolutely breath-taking. Their sheer beauty comes directly from their quiet strength and honest heart. I loved the depth of heart and soul that I felt through each word and each character. It’s not often that you find a work of art that has a vibrancy and life all its own, but this is definitely one that I would classify as such. This is the first book that I have read by Vi Keeland, and it will not be my last. She completely blew me away with her masterful writing, her uniquely unforgettable characters, and all of the heart that she poured into this tour de force. I didn’t know what to expect when I started reading, but I was very pleasantly surprised at discovering this incredible jewel!

HOT, exciting, BEST book of the series so far. I have just one word for you: JAX. He is the perfect hero. As Vi says in the novel (I'm paraphrasing), he is a gentleman in the living room but a caveman in the bedroom. Aside from being the ideal male specimen physically, he is a rich, smart, successful businessman and MMA fighter. He is completely at Lily's mercy, and yet he has no problem aggressively protecting her. Jax is a wonderful dichotomy, and this is the first time I can remember almost being jealous of a fictional character (Lily)! The love scenes are SCORCHING, and they are well-placed throughout the story. Again, because Jax is comprised of polar opposites, you never know what the encounter will be like! They were all pretty different from each other, which was a fantastic way to avoid predictability. I liked the element of Caden, the jealous ex-boyfriend. It's not something I have encountered too often in books, especially not crazies like Caden. (Good thing Jax is around!) I CANNOT WAIT to read Vi's next book!!! ***I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review***
