3By WingskingsI have read all of the Gansett Island books and others written by Marie Force. And I have loved them all but---while this story was good I found a lot of repetition of past books. Repeating the characters and who is related to who and who is married to who and who their kids are. Naming all the characters that are in attendance at events. And also repeating over and over a wonderful place the island is and how everyone takes care of everyone else. After awhile I just wanted to say 'Ok, I get it already'. So for me I think it's time to move on from the island. For those of us who have read the series, we don't need to be backstory over and over again. It was almost half the book.Love these books

5By KarKar571I realized today why I love Marie's books so much. With every story, you get the trill and excitement of a new love. The anxiousness, butterfly's, can't wait to see where this goes feelings. This story is a wonderful example of that. Shane and Katie overcome their reluctance to chance getting hurt for the joy of love. I know there is going to be a happy ending and that is what keeps me coming back for more.
