Description
NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER • The author of the international sensation Crazy Rich Asians delivers a “snarky … wicked … funny” follow-up (The New York Times) that’s a deliciously fun romantic comedy of family, fortune, and fame in Mainland China.
It’s the eve of Rachel Chu’s wedding, and she should be over the moon. She has a flawless Asscher-cut diamond, a wedding dress she loves, and a fiancé willing to thwart his meddling relatives and give up one of the biggest fortunes in Asia in order to marry her. Still, Rachel mourns the fact that her birth father, a man she never knew, won’t be there to walk her down the aisle.
Then a chance accident reveals his identity. Suddenly, Rachel is drawn into a dizzying world of Shanghai splendor, a world where people attend church in a penthouse, where exotic cars race down the boulevard, and where people aren’t just crazy rich … they’re China rich.

the dramaaaa
4By How creativeThe only reason I can’t give it 5 stars is because I am not of fan of the Nick and Rachel plot line. It lacked a lot, especially in part 2. I just found myself wanted to skip their POVs. But overall worth the read. I’m diving into book 3 asap.Jordan B.

1By MarinjoeZeroAmazingly entertaining!
5By MinakichuI am just halfway to the book and unfortunately i cannot finish it as i have to go to sleep. But so far i am very amused and happy with the story. Not a boring page yet...and i cant wait to finish it all tomorrow.Cringe
2By giaritterThe narrator pronounced half the things wrong in French and English. She couldn’t pin one English accent down properly and it was too difficult to listen to. I couldn’t help but cringe when she would be in and out of an accent in a sentence and then say five things incorrectly. She even said a word in French wrong that the way she pronounced it meant something else with alarming meaning.Easy and entertaining read
5By martinezl19I actually like this sequel better than the first book in the trilogy. There was more action and drama in this book and I liked that it was a quick, easy read.Truly Outstanding
5By JHLAW208One of the best books I have ever read. The characters are developed so well that you truly feel empathy for them. Kevin Kwan does it again in this fantastic sequel that I believe to be better than the first one.Amazing sequel
5By V. MonetI loved the first book and this was a great follow up. I loved that Kitty stood up for herself in the end and Rachel’s read to Colette was epic.
