Rose's world has become very dark as we discover more about JR Simmons's reach into manipulating the lives of the citizens of Southern Arkansas. Rose is determined to prevail and save her friend from the depression she has sunk into after losing her babies. So far this is the darkest of the Rose Gardner novels, but it was no less riveting and I think it makes the character more believable. As Rose is no longer sheltered in her 'cocoon' she has been forced to deal with serious issues. It shows the perseverance of the heroine and demonstrates her love and devotion to her friends. Excellent installment to the Rose Gardner series.Read this series

I don't know if I can't wait to November to find out what happens. this book was pure awesomeness!!! it was everything you expect of a Rose Gardner book. I love Rose and Neely Kate's friendship and is one of my favorite parts of the book. To see Rose just being their for her friend as she is going through a hard time was wonderful. I think they should open up their own private detective agency if the landscaping business doesn't work! This book just brought out so much emotions and that cliffhanger had me screaming, crying and wanting to throw my kindle. I can't wait to read more and to see how this whole JR solution will get resolvedJust keeps getting better!!!
