I needed to write a essay for this book and decided to purchase this ebook to help me out. It's a very good and descriptive summary of the book. Gave me a better understanding of the whole story and few missing points that I didn't notice. Suki Kim's narrative is light years better than any other book I have read about North Korea.

I really loved reading this book! It was a really really good book and good read overall! I really do recommend this to anyone looking for a great reading and as a pass time! It's really interesting too! Giving you an inside look on how a superimposed boundary affects families and friends and also adds alot more!
  • A very readable book about one woman's experience teaching in North Korea

I love books that get inside difficult places and I am trying to read more books by non-white authors, so this was an easy pick for me. I loved this book, It's amazing to read about how skewed her students perspectives on the world were and about the ways the regime enforces those misconceptions and lies. Highly recommended.

This novel had my complete, utmost attention throughout the duration of reading it. I read through the summary relatively quickly and I was like "Woah. It's over?" but I still felt like I got the most out of the original. Great work, Instaread!
