"Superbly crafted stories like these are the reason romantic suspense is my go-to genre." -USA Today

When old evidence turns up on a fresh corpse, ASAC Lincoln Frazer is determined it won't delay the execution of a convicted serial killer. But when more young women are brutally slain, it becomes clear—this new killer is intimately familiar with the old murders.

After her mother's death, Army Captain Dr. Isadora Campbell resigned her commission in order to return to the Outer Banks to raise her rebellious teenage sister. But Izzy hides a terrible secret, and it doesn't take long to realize someone knows exactly what she did, all those years ago.

Thrust together during the investigation, Frazer and Izzy find themselves reluctantly drawn to one another. When the truth about Izzy's past emerges, Frazer struggles with her deception. And when the killer strikes again, the race is on to save Izzy from the same terrible fate as all the other dead girls.

Daphne Du Maurier Award For Excellence In Mystery/Romantic Suspense finalist and Bookseller's Best Award finalist.

All the books can be read as standalone titles. Hot romantic stories with thrilling plots and guaranteed happily ever afters—they do contain strong language. For fans of Kendra Elliot, Janie Crouch, Mary Burton, and Brittney Sahin.

This book was TOTALLY AWESOME!! I did not want to stop reading (went so far as to carry my phone to bathroom just to continue reading!🤪). The build up of interest/trust between Linc & Izzy is steady but not so fast to be unbelievable. Their pasts define so much of their personalities & beliefs. And just forget about thinking you know “who dun it” because you’re wrong!! EXCELLENT STORY LINE AND SUSPENSE!! I WOULD GIVE 10 STARS IF POSSIBLE 🥰

This book definitely left me guessing big time. Every time I thought I knew what Izzy had done, it back fired on me, every time Kit played the bratty sister, I had her pegged - wrong. Lincoln Frazer discovers early that a piece of jewelry found on a murdered girl could be trouble and doesn’t want that info in the hands of basically anyone but a super small circle. Izzy Campbell is groaning through life. Having to give up a military career to come take care of her teenage sister brings her past rearing into her face. She has a rental Cottage next to her house so Frazer stays there while trying to put the pieces together. Both Lincoln and Izzy were dealt a bad hand while teenagers and that forged who they are now. The “who done it” in this story spun all over the place. I was wrong several times. This series gets better each book. That’s amazing.

What a refreshing experience to read a stellar suspense book with very detailed medical and tactical information. I’m an RN and was impressed. Thanks for such a wonderful read and the characters become very real with the way each character is developed. If you could have a 10 star rating this ebook would have one! KSW

Author doesn't have American slang down yet. It's a '$5 dollar bill', not a ' $5 dollar note.' We 'sell out', not 'sell up'. He's a 'physical therapist', not a physio. We use 'baby sitters', not 'child minders'. And the list goes on. Very good books in the series, but these errors irritate. If you are going to write about Americans, use American English.

Her writing reminds me of Sandra Brown and Karen Robards. Great suspense and romance. I've read four books in the series and they all have been great. Getting ready to start my fifth! M
