Japanese art covers a wide range of art styles and media, including ancient pottery, sculpture, ink painting and calligraphy on silk and paper, ukiyo-e woodblock prints, kirie, kirigami, origami, dance, theatre and more recently manga and video games; these becoming so popular they have created their own subculture, Otaku (おたく/オタク)
Japanese art has a long history, ranging from the beginnings of human habitation in Japan, sometime in the tenth millennium BC, to the present.
In this project you will choose to focus on one aspect of Japanese art and use this to tell a story from The way of life in shogunate Japan.
