Description

Secrets don't belong in the office—or the bedroom.

Alex Brannigan walked up to Cailin on the dance floor like he owned the place. Owned her. And for a few perfect hours, he controlled her like he did everything else in his life—completely. Giving her pleasure. Saturating her with his need.

Then she woke to an empty bed. Alex was a one-night stand she didn't think she could forget, but still, just a one-night stand. No big deal, right?

She was still telling herself that Monday morning when she walked into her new office and there, behind the desk, was the one man she thought she'd never see again. Too bad the fact that he's her new boss isn't the only reason he's unavailable.

The plot was a great idea but I personally did not like the protagonist. I prefer more of an alpha male character and he was not it for me. If you like the more expressive, emotional type then you might like this! The conversation and their POVs during the one night stand was a little strange. I also thought the relationship with his “wife” was super weird and mushy for what their relationship was supposed to be. I only read about 20% of the book.

This book is steamy, I had to clean my eyes of the sweat! The book; I don’t want to give it away, I want you to read and enjoy. What these couples do to be together and settle for the wrongs of so many. Pick a quiet afternoon/night and get ready for Alex and Cailin to sweep you away on stolen nights and weekends. This isn’t the usual woman meets man, they have hot sex and live happily ever after - the story is so well written, you’d swear you were watching Alex and Cailin. You won’t be disappointed; the HEA is worth the wait and you’ll need tissues Warning: there are scenes of assault and trauma, if you’re easily triggered, this isn’t your cup of tea.

I enjoyed the book but it was a bit predictable to the point where I was able to skip through some pages and not miss anything.

Wished I stopped as soon as Cailin and Alex crossed the line. Cailin...a martyr or a moron? Argh! I really, really wish I could unread this.
