Captain Casey was a believer that if one made his assignment desires known to the Army and persistently followed up with persuasion (face to face if possible) he might just get what he wanted.  He still was not sure if he wanted to make the military a career (he had put “4 down, 4 to go” on his yearbook), but he was willing to give it more time before he made a decision.
