After extensive research on event planning, event planners, communication, approaches to planning, rescheduling, emergencies, and the communication competence theory by Spitzberg and Cupach (1984), I formed interview questions from my research and interviewed five successful event planners around the Chicago area for tips and feedback about how to plan and execute a successful event.
