As the day of the ball arrives, Frieren and her companions are still trying to find a way to thwart the plot to assassinate the great mage Serie. But even knowing the identities of the would-be assassins as well as the time and place they plan to strike, they still haven’t managed to find a surefire way to safeguard Serie’s life.
