Natural history provides the magic of the Galápagos Islands. It is not archeology or architecture that attract visitors for there are none. The attraction is in the uniqueness of the animals and their incredible tameness. I had been most captivated by the wildlife, just how unafraid and peaceful their existence was. As Darwin had written in his journal “Extreme tameness….  is common to all the terrestrial species…”. 
It is ultimately the charm of the Galápagos Islands.
