Not my favorite book out of the series. I felt like it was messy and a bit confusing. It was a let down honestly bc every time I thought the book was going to hit on key parts it just went to a different section of ‘After’. Weirdly written. But I still enjoyed hearing Hardins POV

Not really a before. The beginning of the book was interesting and then, not so much. It felt disjointed and kind of tacked together. It should have been named “Extra”. Like here’s some extra stuff that I didn’t really know how to fit in the other books.

This series is by far one of the greatest things I have ever lost sleep for.

This book leaves many questions unanswered that you would expect with Harden’s POV during After and insight in other side character’s histories. In addition, this book is internationally inconsistent and inconsistent with After in ways that are just lazy editing. The Hardin POV chapters spend far to much time on the obvious, even going so far as to have him think something before he paraphrases the exact same thought - making it so that the scene from Hardin’s perspective adds nothing to what we know from After. This book is absurdly short, yet still the same price as all of the other books in the series. The author needs to provide an automatically updated version that is more consistent and covers key moments from Harden’s POV. Key missing scenes: SPOILERS IF YOU HAVEN’T READ AFTER. Morning after destroying his dad’s house, his discussions about Tessa and his progress on the bet with his friends, Blind Bob’s (was that planned?), 3rd party (w/ Zed kiss & ‘I love you’), fake drunk on vodka plan, before and after the bonfire, second Tessa, Noah, Hardin confrontation, him proving he won the bet (and whatever led up to that), and just many other scenes between Hardin denying his feelings for Tessa and being obsessively in love with her.

Loved revisiting these characters

I’m only a quarter of the way through, but there are some big differences in this book than how things played out in the other books. It’s confusing to follow because you’re trying to make it fit the first book(s).

I wanted to read about Tessa and Hardin’s beautiful wedding with their family present.

After over 50 bucks I’m asking myself why? I suppose it’s like having to look at a terrible car accident. Now I have to find a book that justifies my ability to read.

This is such a great book. It gets me to understand more about the characters and their stories. Now I feel bad for hating molly.
