Description

After providing information to so many Mac users, I thought it would be helpful to just make it into a book with easy-to-understand descriptions.

Coming from a windows environment for most of my life, I was clueless on Mac. Was able to get a good understanding and great recommendations on setting things on my Mac.

Overall this is a very well written primer that covers a lot of the intricacies of using a Mac. As a windows convert, I wish I had come across this sooner, as it covered a lot of the little things that I ended up having to find on my own in a neat little package. Overall it's a pretty quick read, and easily read in small chunks. (I read it on my iPhone 6s Plus) Nice job Ed!

Ed did a terrific job of covering the topics needed to get you going on a Mac computer. It's written for new users but does have some useful information for existing users as well. Definitely recommend for anyone who wants to get the most out of their new Mac.

Helpful with a bit of no BS fun injected! Forty year old Windows user and just received a Mac for work. This book is making the transition so much easier.

Even old time Mac users can find a lot of really useful information here. Better yet, the author is constantly updating it. You won’t find a better deal at any price
  • Painless transition from Windows to Mac

This is the book I would have given to at least 100 people if I’d known about it sooner. I work in tech. These days it’s trendy to ditch Windows PCs and the IT staff that fusses over them, for shiny new Macs. Sadly, non-Mac people can grow quickly frustrated when trying to figure out basic things like keyboard shortcuts, screen prints, what productivity apps they need and the like. Hours of productivity are lost while new users come up to speed, Google answers, and track down someone who can help them. Ed understands this pain, and cuts to the chase, delivering the essential start-up guide for any new Mac user. He even helps you keep the apps you need in Windows and run them on your Mac, and has several options for doing this free or inexpensively. If you are a switcher, this tiny investment will save your sanity and hours of time.
  • Must-read for ex-Windows users

Definately worth reading. As someone who defected from Windows, by chapter 3 this book had already taught me things I had overlooked just “exploring” OS X on my own. This book should just come loaded on all new Macs!
